How can you die of hypotermia just walking down the street? That's very weird. But then we are talking about Teletubbies!

The article doesn't say he died of hypothermia just walking down the street. It says he died of hypothermia after collapsing in the street.

There are all sorts of reasons why someone might collapse on the street, which would contribute to being susceptible to death by hypothermia. And the collapse would contribute to not getting out of the cold if he were unconscious or otherwise physically disabled, and alone.

Beyond that, we don't have any information to speculate.
