Misha has posted something very heartwarming on his Telegram group: He happens to be in Lipetsk now and he (and probably his wife as well) have rescued a litter of six kittens who were abandoned in a cardboard box on the street. Misha has posted videos and photos of the kittens and wrote down everything that happened so far. They went to a vet clinic with the poor things and had them checked out thoroughly. Moreover, they have already found a family for one of the babies and are actively looking for loving families for the 5 remaining ones.

Kolyada and his wife have a cat named Jasper themselves and Mikhail sometimes talks about him in his interviews. He really loves cats and animals in general.

The kittens they've found have probably lived with people before because they know how to use a cat toilet and are absolutely clean and healthy.
Whoever had the nerve to abandon these babies who are 8 weeks old at most (!!!!) in a cardboard box next to some road in Lipetsk deserves all the bad things in the world.

Mikhail Kolyada has paused his career: https://sport24.ru/figureskating/ne...hail-kolyada-priostanovil-sportivnuyu-karyeru

He will try himself as a blogger or something like it.
There is also a "forbidden" interview he already gave last fall, but asked the journalist not to publish it until now.
He is very well-spoken, but I think he's had enough of the constantly bad Russian press about him and just needs a break.

I am not sure he is ever going to return to amateur sport, but he will definitely have a great career in shows.

He must be the most promising Russian skater with the worst luck even more than Alexander Abt. It breaks my heart, but it is what it is.
