The Good Wife - Season Seven

At least it won't end with Peter being elected president and Alicia going off to be First Lady ...

The last nine episodes might each cover a highlight from one year in the future. So maybe after eight years of Peter's presidency, the final episode will see Alicia winning the presidency. :D

To me it is obvious she should have left Peter ages ago. Alicia is getting more assertive - so hopefully the ending is that is no longer the good wife, as she is no longer a wife!

^ I'd watch that. For Diane especially. And if Luca (sp?) joins the firm, so much the better.

But they'd really need to find a way to bring in Eli. Maybe bring him back in-house like they did a few seasons back.

And Marissa too!

The Good Wife returns tonight with an episode called "Monday". A write-up about tonight's plot from my local TV listings website:

Alicia has trouble adjusting when she returns to work at Lockhart, Agos & Lee with Lucca. Their first case, involving a secret new computer tablet, causes a rift within the firm.

Zach Grenier will be on tonight's episode as David Lee, as will John Benjamin Hickey as Neil Gross. Margo Martindale and Christopher MacDonald as well, along with Sarah Steele as Marissa Gold. I couldn't find a sneak peak/trailer at youtube for tonight's episode, though... :(

How many episodes are left ?
Any idea how it'll end?
I so want Alicia to throw Peter out forever.

I think 7? Superbowl ad said there were 9 left - and there have been 2 since - I think.

I didn't like last weeks episode it was boring but this weeks was great.. I love when the guys from the FBI or CIA listen in on her conversations .. Story line is heating up finally

Wheeee, another highly entertaining opening! :D (feels like it's been a while...)

ETA: (A bearded) Matthew Morrison begins his guest run tonight.

"You will not embarrass my husband". I love seeing Alicia's tough side. Nice move to get Peter a tie and jacket. :respec:

As time progresses, I'm finding Jason kinda smarmy rather than cool and laidback. A little of that schtick goes a long way. Plus him always questioning/cornering Alicia as to what she wants. I'm wondering if he wants something and instead of stating it, his method of operation is to say, "well...what do YOU want". Maybe he's just been waiting for Alicia to figure it all out...and catch up to him??

Great night for Broadway peoples: Alan Cumming, Megan Hilty, Matthew Morrison and Michael Urie. And regulars Christine Baranski and Zach Grenier (David Lee) have been on Broadway many times, of course.

After tonight's episode...only three more episode until the series is OVER!! :fragile: :( :drama: :wuzrobbed

I have always wondered if he was investigating Peter and Alicia, and if so, when would that be uncovered. I have not seen last night's episode yet.

I wanted to know if "your worship" knew that there were folks in Canada doing the same sort of "listening" to "hot mics" that was happening to Alicia in the US. She was so smug and then they cut Canada's version of the NSA. Pretty funny.

This investigation at the end of the show: I sometimes wonder if everything plotted now is done to get Alicia, in the last episode, standing next to her husband as he reveals "whatever"...no protstitutes this time...and to see the new Alicia compared to the old Alicia all of those years ago.

I enjoyed the CSE scenes as a neat parallel to the NSA scenes. However they got pretty lazy with the banter dialogue -- arguing over which celebrities are Canadian? Really? And the "What's it aboat" joke was lame as well as inaccurate. However I really don't expect more from an American series.

What bugged me more was the whole Justice of the Peace thing. JPs have power to adjudicate over minor provincial matters, not federal ones. And airports are federal jurisdiction. There is no way that a JP would be presiding over the initial matter, and even less so when the asylum request was initiated.

Are they really addressed as "Your Worship"?

Regarding Jason, was the possibility he's a pychopath been addressed recently?

That episode had some really funny moments.

I thought the whole Canada thing was played for laughs, but I just read an article where both the writer and those who left comments...clearly have no sense of humour! It's like they don't even know what this show is a aboot! :D

Do we know whether Peter is guilty?

I read the above article (and a bunch others) because...I can't remember what Peter might be guilty or innocent of... :shuffle:

I quite liked how they went to the opening credits with the black and white still photos that mirrored the photo taken of Alicia during the press conference of the first episode. Quite a nice touch. :)

I agree with Peter. The Canada stuff was pretty funny.
So how will this show end? I'd like to see Carey hooking up with Kalinda on an island somewhere. Jason turning out to be a dangerous psychopath and Alicia moving on, Something wonderful for Diane and her husband. Peter writing a tell-all book from within prison (or out). Can't decide yet on Eli and Marissa, Elsbeth and Mike or the Florrick kids.
Does anyone else get creeped out by Mike and Elsbeth's dog? Does the thing ever go for walks or eat or poop? Very undoggy behaviour.

Forgot to mention that I wish the Justice of the Peace had been played by a Canadian. Jayne Eastwood or Cathy Jones could have had a lot of fun with that role. Or imagine if they could have gotten Catherine O'Hara!!! :D

No, no, no...that's Jeffrey Dean Morgan's other show!! :D

Yes to those three and add Mary Walsh!

Getting a little tired of Jason's "what do you want?" Alicia seems to have greater clarity than he does. I hope Zach is gone for good; there was a time when he was a decent character, but now...

There's only two more episodes so left, so Zach will be gone. As will everybody else! Last night's episode was so hectic! So glad Alicia survived it! When it rains, it sure does pour! Glad to see so many characters together in one space. Unfortunate that Cary wasn't a part of it. I liked that Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) got to play a part in the conclusion of the series. Inspiring gentlemen! (Fox, not so much Canning...) Oh, and as for Zach, I think his return (other than us seeing that yes, Alicia still does have a son) is for his fiancé to help Alicia gain some clarity as to what relationships can be like in 2016. Which helped her deal with Jason a bit better.

On a separate note...I have this awful feeling that Alicia is going to end up in jail at the very end... :(

So do I. That's exactly what my husband said when we were watching last night. I'm hoping we're wrong though! Would they really end the series like that?
