The Dance Hall 12: Boston Tea Dance Party

If you mean skating for America as well as training there, then they'd have to fight their way up through the ranks, get his citizenship, etc. Not that I wouldn't love to have him here, but surely things would be easier in several ways in Germany.
Agreed. We have a surfeit of hungry teams. Germany needs him.

If Bashynska wasn’t stuck in her coaching situation I’d say he should consider Canada, but…

And I forgot about the baby Brits….:fragile:

When I saw he had mentioned the marriage before she did, I thought she'd probably be upset about that. I'm sorry it looks like such a messy breakup. He seems to have been blindsided, but he shouldn't have shared personal information.

I obviously don't know them and can only speculate, but I suspect they're both very strong-willed and perhaps both a little impulsive.

I could get behind a Bashynska/Savitskiy pairing.

Truth is, he will likely have potential partners lining up at his door for a tryout.

Bella Flores hasn't announced her new partner yet, Masha Alieva is still looking, we also know that both Simova/Aksenov and Pucherova/Lysak split this spring if he's willing to sit out a season while waiting on someone to get their release.

He aged out of juniors this season, I think - he'll be 22 on July 1st, so any junior partners would need to be on the older side, close to or already senior eligible themselves, which would rule out a lot of skaters searching for partners.

Mikhail's girlfriend.
So am I understanding that Darya already got married but it was not public news? And it's not known to who?
It was reported in the German news thread that she's married to Grigorii Rodin, who was skating with Xuantong Li of China - they were training in Italy at YGA, which is where GrimSkiy sort of landed after Sinitcyn kicked them out of Oberstdorf last summer, but apparently, the CFSA hasn't been willing/able to obtain a release for him to skate with her. Sounds like Darya is now skating with Rodin - or at least there has been at least one recent clip of them skating together on IG.

YES to a Bashynska/Savitskiy pairing.

Hard NO to Savitskiy partnering with Bella Flores. Please stay away, he doesn't need that drama and messiness and anymore drama than he's already in now.

Last I heard, Lou Terreaux and Eva Bernard of France were also both in the market for a partner.

I really like the Nadiia idea, but still, it's nice to know Michail has a number of possible options.

can someone remind me why they were kicked out of obersdorf?

We never got a good explanation from anyone.

I have my theories, developing, based on the heated back-and-forth between Lara & Darya on X today, but I've got zero contacts & will keep my speculation to myself.

I´m wondering about this too, there was a lot of talk going on.

I did notice that Michail thanked Sinitcyn in his post, makes me think that perhaps the reason they were kicked out (if) was because of Darya. Maybe Michail wants to go back to his former coaching team.

That is a good point, the arguments on Twitter might suggest they have been fighting for a while. The coaching team probably didn´t want that negative environment in Oberstdorf. Since Lara was coaching there the last two years, it made sense if they had to leave

The timeline for obtaining German citizenship in timefor spouses is three, rather than five, years of residency (plus other requirement, like language, with only one year of that before marriage.) Training in Germany makes far more sense for Grimm/Rodin to establish his residency there to be eligible for the 2030 Olympics, but it seems like that bridge was burned.

Coaching change for the Taschlers

I suppose they are going to Margaglio?

What makes you think that? There are plenty of good options in Europe - Team Mauri, Babs, VdL, SK in Madrid. And, then there's North America. I'd actually be rather intrigued if they wound up at IAM-O.
Isn't it customary when announcing a new coach to say who the new coach is?
I was trying to figure out where they were going too! All in due time, I guess.
