The Dance Hall 12: Boston Tea Dance Party

What makes you think that? There are plenty of good options in Europe - Team Mauri, Babs, VdL, SK in Madrid. And, then there's North America. I'd actually be rather intrigued if they wound up at IAM-O.

I was trying to figure out where they were going too! All in due time, I guess.
They posted the Finnish and US flags next to the caption. Maybe they are sharing their time between Helsinki and one of the schools in the US?

The timeline for obtaining German citizenship in timefor spouses is three, rather than five, years of residency (plus other requirement, like language, with only one year of that before marriage.) Training in Germany makes far more sense for Grimm/Rodin to establish his residency there to be eligible for the 2030 Olympics, but it seems like that bridge was burned.
Daryas IG post says she is searching for a partner though... Seems weird if she already teamed up with Rodin

YES to a Bashynska/Savitskiy pairing.

Hard NO to Savitskiy partnering with Bella Flores. Please stay away, he doesn't need that drama and messiness and anymore drama than he's already in now.
You take all the fun out of things. Savitsky seems open to participating in drama, and one positive, at least he wouldn’t be able to marry Flores for citizenship as…that ship has already sailed for her

Will the US school be Scali and Zueva?
Scali and Zueva are not the same school. Ilya Tkachenko coaches with Zueva in FL. Scali is based in CA, primarily at the Skating Club of San Fran....aside from all of his choreo work, he coaches ice dance (solo and adults) when he's not traveling.

My guess is they're working with Margaglio and getting choreo from Scali, like the Finnish teams.

Those of us who abhor X would love at least partial reprints.
It's just a screenshot of his IG story which was posted about 5 hours ago, so should expire in another 18 hours or so.

He basically apologized for publicly congratulating her on her marriage. He thought it was already out in the public space because fellow skaters from around the world had asked him about it, etc, and even Rodin apparently called Darya "my wife" on his own social media.

I’ve come to assume that there is no word for sportsmanship in Russian.
I know this is a dance thread but I can’t just pass by..
I mean, I know that Russian skaters has been problematic for many reasons, but please avoid generalization, if possible. Bazin has always been a jerk, and not just about fellow skaters but his partners, former girlfriend, colleagues, and pretty much everyone.
Even if we look at current crop of Russian ice dancers, we have Khavronina /Narizhny who always watch international competitions and share their (mostly praising) opinions in Russian press, we have Mironova/Ustenko who aim for as many foreign internships as possible and always talk nice about fellow skaters, etc.
Liza Tuktamysheva just recently went to WTT as commentator and was praising all international skaters in Russia media afterwards, especially ice dancers :)

It’s just that usually the praising words and articles are not translated on fstwitter, or do not get that much reaction

I’m sure you’re right. It’s Zhulin and TAT and other nasty whiners who get posted here and as always the good stuff isn’t news.

Liza and Amber were so sweet at WTT, it warmed my cynical old heart. 💜

But aren't Zoueva and Scali working together again, at least as the coaching team of the Shibutanis?

So it says one of the styles can be "Pop/Street Latin" but competitive ballroom style isn't allowed. I don't follow ballroom, so maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't tons of ballroom competitors have used something like Ricky Martin's "Living the Vida Loca" as you might see on the one of the dance reality shows? How would the judges decide something was "pop" latin and not "competitive" latin?

Brazil in the 90’s would be prime example.
Not that I’d expect any gringo coach looking into it…

We had pagode, which is samba but in a way that began and took over the country in the 90s, axé (pronounced ashèh) with plenty of of double entendre lyrics and choreo to match, and the good old lambada.

It must be said that ballroom latin is nothing like latin rhythms danced in latin countries, not even remotely, ever.
The genres I mentioned were everywhere in parties in their heydays and most people wouldn’t couple up for dancing, it was more like going to a regular party.

Source: I was a Brazilian teenager in the 90s.

Latin America in the 90s produced quite a lot of pop/rock bangers as well. Shakira, Fito Páez, El Símbolo, Vilma Palma y los Vampiros, Soda Stereo, Maná, Paralamas do Sucesso, Biquini Cavadão…
Brazilian/carioca funk was in its inception for the masses.

I don’t expect people going so niche to find RD songs, but there’s plenty of OTBP options if ine knows where to look.

They're being coached by Zueva and getting choreo from Scali, so in that sense Zueva and Scali cooperating, but he's basically a free agent, choreographing for skaters/teams anywhere.

Since the Taschlers referenced Finland in their post, I assume Margaglio is the coach. It's also possible the Taschlers might spend part of the summer in the U.S. with another coaching group. Maybe that will be in their next post. (But if so, I wouldn't choose Zueva.)

He’s posting clips in his story of Margaglio coaching, so pretty sure that’s a safe bet.

Stepanova/Bukin just released this video appeal to the President of the IOC:

I forgot I followed them on social media until now.

I always said they would be found guilty of implicit nonverbal support of war! Isu can just say that they are guilty of that. And that’s so broad every Russian can be guilty. Why are s/b specificaly guilty.

It’s not clear if it’s implicit nonverbal or explicit nonverbal.

Or is it explicit and verbal?

I don’t believe it’s implicit verbal. Though maybe it is
