The Dance Hall 12: Boston Tea Dance Party

I was so hoping Wicked Game by Chris Isaak was released in the 90’s. It would pair perfectly with Baby did a Bad Bad Thing by Isaak as well. But alas it was released in 1989

What amuses me is that the definition of dance music is so fluid. I read an interview with a member of REM once about playing a club in Israel where everyone danced to Losing My Religion. The band was baffled.

Oksana Grishuk is selling a lot of her old skating dresses. Priced $250-1000 in XS. I can't figure out how to post a direct link to her Facebook post, but it's in this Facebook group:

I want all of these. I need “I bought all of Pasha’s skating dresses” money. :drama:

Pucherova/Lysak (SVK) split

This means Slovakia has now zero Senior teams.

Wasn't expecting that to happen. I guess they see the writing on the wall & know their chances of earning one of the 4 Olympic spots up for grabs is relatively low - though I had them on my second-tier list of teams in contention.

Wait, S/A retired too? I must have forgotten it...

Unexpected...

I haven't expected them to get one of final 4 Olympic spots in September. However, they were young enough to do another quad.

They announced split at the beginning of March. He is looking for a new partner.

In more Slovak ice dance drama, Aneta Vaclavikova has officially paired up with Will Lissauer and announced they'll be skating for the US (training with Gregory/Petukhov) - they'll have to sit out the whole 25/26 season as Aneta was at JWC with Ivan Morozov, who appears to have teamed up with Melissa Cachova (both were at YGA with their previous partners and seem to be staying with Zanni). Not sure if they'll represent Slovakia (no need to sit out, likely guaranteed JGPs but Ivan is Russian born so likely doesn't have citizenship) or Czechia (Melissa previously represented Czechia and has citizenship but Ivan would have to sit out a whole season)

Not sure if this has been mentioned on here yet but Ashlie Slatter has a new partner - Louis Gregory. I don't know much about him but I think he's new-ish to dance and perhaps born in 2005?

Ashlie previously skated with Atl Ongay-Perez for GBR - they were together from ages 7/9 to 15/17.
It was mentioned in the British skating thread, but good idea to mention it here too. I hope things go well for them!

hope Atl finds a suitable partner too soon! I'd love to see more competition amongst the British juniors - I feel like last time we had it was when James Hernandez was with Emily Rose Brown and Sasha Fear and George Waddell were still competing.

I'm still a bit sad that Vaclavikova/Morozov split, they were such a great match, but I'm glad that they both seem to have found new partners. I am surprised that Vaclavikova and Lissauer decided to represent the US since Aneta has both Slovak and Czech citizenship. It would make things easier for them in terms of international assignments.

Hmmmm... Theoretically, country music, especially the country pop stuff from the likes of Shania Twain & Faith Hill, is definitely not off the table. I pray we get something along those lines from some team trying to distinguish themselves a bit.
