Okay, first of all, if you don't like him then why are you in this thread? This is the "Adam Rippon Good News Thread". There are better places for your comments, like the thread about Ross being out or the US Men's thread.Really? I think he talks too much and it was his own mouth that got him in trouble! He was putting down a marker days ago; "no way am I not going to the Olympics!" Well I can tell you, the mothers of the other skaters weren't the judges, but he got what he wanted anyway with such a poor performance! If I were him, I wouldn't be too happy! He just screwed another competitor; and not in a good way!![]()

Second of all, I point you to these comments from Adam and Ross, courtesy of Lynn Rutherford and Jackie Wong:
Men's Olympic presser: Adam Rippon said the first thing he did when he heard about his Olympic selection this morning was text Ross Miner, congratulating him on his great performance last night. Miner immediately texted back his own congratulations.
Adam Rippon: When I found out what the Olympic team was, I texted Ross Miner and I told him that I was proud of what he did yesterday and how well he skated. He texted me right back and told me he was very happy for me
Third of all, yes I do think he deserved it based on BOW. He didn't screw anyone out of anything. The USFS made it very very clear that BOW was important for these decisions, that US Nats was just one of many criteria. All of the athletes knew that. Now you don't have to like the criteria, but those are the official rules and everyone was aware of them. In my opinion, Adam deserved it based on the official criteria. You can disagree, but that's my opinion.
From Lynn Rutherford:
From Jackie Wong:More Auxier at presser: "The overarching theme is to select the team that will give us the best chance at medals....the key was not looking at one great performance ....We had to look at the body of work. Ross (Miner) has struggled at international competitions."
Sam Auxier: The Tier 1 criteria (US Champs, Worlds, Grand Prix Final) allows us to look at more than just one competition. We look at other competitions to see who can perform best at the Olympics
I'd rather not have an argument about this in this thread. Like I said before, it's not the place, so if you want to continue this discussion, let's move it to one of the other threads I mentioned, or you can pm me.
