Oh, this new red dress... I seriously suspect a member of their team to be visiting this forum :D now, someone from Scott's part should visit it here as well, advise him a black costume and it will be perfect :biggrinbo
Anyway, this MR free dance is growing on me properly now. I still struggle with the 'Come What May' part, but the rest of it is divine. And the ending is much more powerful than the first version we saw at Autumn Classic. Oh, I'm so happy I'm able to witness this season, even just watching live streams from my home. :D

Fantastic performance today and there's still so much room for them to grow technically and performance wise. I think there were a few minor bobbles but this program is starting to come toegether for me. Going to be a long 2 weeks for NHK.

I almost forgot to gush about the costumes. Omg they're perfection! I've changed my mind about Scott's costume too.

That was so amazing and emotional, HUGE HUGE step up from ACI and now I am a complete believer in this MR FD. Just wow, I was in tears while watching it, they conveyed the emotion right into my own soul. WOW!
I agree I was emotional too!Loving the movie so much makes it even more special and the " Come what may " is great for the Olympics and the future as a message.

They lost levels on both step sequences. That score would have been massive otherwise.

The performance was brilliant. I'm expecting this to be everything they want it to be and I'm hoping it to be by the Olympics.

Ahh interesting..why the lost levels on step sequence? And OMG it would have been over 120 probably?

What would cause them to drop levels? I still am a novice on how they score these elements. If anyone can help, i'd love to see some analysis on that. The British Eurosport didn't have anything specific to say other than it was wonderful, but I wish we could hear more specifics on the program itself.

The technical mark will improve, of that I have no doubt. I'm more happy that the program as a whole concept is really coming together and they have already intensified the emotion of both parts of the program compared to ACI.

I loved all the superficial changes as well - Tessa's new dress, Scott's haircut and the grey turtleneck.

What a fantastic start to the season!

Thank you. I've watched it twice now, still didn't see the bobble. Have to watch it again (no problem :D)

If you have a look at the British Eurosport link, Tessa's bobble happens around 1:45

Tessa is so tough on herself. Anything less than perfect and you can see it all over her face. She wasn't as smiley as she was after the SD. That said, I thought this was leaps better than ACI. I especially love how the crow recognizes the difficulty of their stationary lift at the very beginning of the program.

Scott is such a boy. Always tugging away at his costumes. He seemed so itchy from all the bling in the SD and just pulling at that turtleneck! LOL

I really like Ben's commentary. I finally saw the bobble because of him, ha ha. This video, however, made them look alot slower or is that my imagination?
You'll notice that with a Very high quality video, often with 720p60 (something in that format) skating ALWAYS look slower. Try any other video of anybody with this format it's absolutely noticeable.
Skating is just better live, and the vision we have on TV or in a screen isn't quite comparable. :(

Just popping in quick to say that program is magical live. I've been a bit on the fence about the construction and ending but they totally won me over today, even with the bobble in front of the judges. Just beautiful.

So make that two bobbles then? I only noticed one, in the CiSt in the left corner opposite the judges. She was doing a turn and bobbled. I missed the one in front of the judges.
