Ted Barton interviews Eteri Tutberidze

I agree Gordeeva looks gorgeous, and I also agree that she looks 47. Many women are gorgeous in their 40s and beyond. I get that youth is great because your body is fit and all, but I wish women would stop being told things looking younger is better, etc. It just fits in to the whole idea that a woman's worth is tied to her age (child-bearing age).

It also bothers me that telling people - particularly 'older' people - that they don't look their age seems to be the norm. It suggests that there is something wrong with looking your age. And we are all aging!

I have the rather contrary view that most people do in fact look their age.

But OTOH, perceptions of age change as we age. I am 60 and when I look at other people my age, I don't see 'old'. I wonder if the same will hold true when I'm 80, should I make it that far.

I think a lot of people's perceptions of what it looks like to be 40, 50, 60+ has changed just simply by the way fashion and styles have changed for women.

I really wonder how those quad girls will grow up and developp...
I think Tara Lipinski, Julia Lipnitskaya or Alina Zagitova could say it's better to work on SS before jumping so much.
