It also bothers me that telling people - particularly 'older' people - that they don't look their age seems to be the norm. It suggests that there is something wrong with looking your age. And we are all aging!
I have the rather contrary view that most people do in fact look their age.
But OTOH, perceptions of age change as we age. I am 60 and when I look at other people my age, I don't see 'old'. I wonder if the same will hold true when I'm 80, should I make it that far.
