Hi folks,

here are the nominees for MESS 2017/18 (Most Epic Splat of the Season) in alphabetic order:

---
All (not only #TeamTrainwreck posters) are invited to vote :40beers:
For MESS we only took senior skaters into consideration or impressive material from junior skaters.

One vote for the most :yikes: splat of the season!

A big shoutout to Makar Ignatov, Ksenia Stolbova / Fedor Klimov and Han Yan who made the shortlist with three entries each.

Complete shortlist can be seen here:

Previous winners:
2016/17: Viveca Lindfors, World Junior Championships, SP

Other #TeamTrainwreck season end awards:
MEEPOTS (Most Epic Ending Pose of the Season)
MIMOS (Most Important Minion of the Season): Winner: Daniil Gleikhengauz

It's rather impressive Pogo made every shortlist, despite competing only once all season long. :yikes:

I went with Samohin, although Nadeau's miming after the 3a would made even the biggest Leonova fan proud.

How did Spours make the final cut but FREED was left out?! :lynch: ;)

I have to campaign hard for Ignatov, especially as Dannyboy‘s shoulder splat looks less spectacular than his first splat in the FS (see shortlist).

Ignatov.
Just because I was in the audience at that moment and for a second thought that he won’t get up without help.

Honorable mention: Anna, Samokhin.
And :respec: to Ksenia for landing a perfect throw after that fall!

That's why she is a :rockstar:

I went with Kaetlyn, because belly-flopping in the middle of your "balletic posing swan" thing is too good.

This MESS 2017/18 collection of greatest hits (ouch!) is a thing of beauty! :inavoid: I had to watch it twice and get a second opinion before I cast my vote for … drumroll please, Makar Ignatov!

(((Pogo))) :drama: (triple ouch) breaks my heart every time! Kaetlyn’s crash was cringe-worthy, and I know that Ksenia (and Fedor) are light on titles recently and could use a break, but, imo, Ignatov should win #TeamTrainwreck: MESS 2017/18 (Most Epic Splat of the Season) It meets all the criteria for splat epic-ness! :respec:

I can't vote for one that was obviously painful (Pogorilaya, Samohin), and the ones related to jumps are totally acceptable splats in my mind....so I had to go with Osmond, who was doing the least to actually splat
