Tarasova/Morozov Cheer Thread

Are they on Facebook? That may be a good place to post ideas. I do t have faith in their coach. Tamara used to accept music ideas from fans of B&S. I had sent her a few but she already knew the music.
I just looked on Instagram but there are many ladies by her name! FB was confusing too. If anyone has a link to one of their real (not fan) accounts, please share it.

Their 2016 worlds LP was skated to Chopin and it was criticized. I am not sure why. They skated it absolutely clean. At one point Zhenya landed a big throw right in front of me. I remember that ‘Wow!’ Moment.

2016 Worlds was a very solid performance, I remember it. I was so happy for them! I also loved their SP from the event. I just wish they emoted a bit more in the free program.

It seems Evgenia's email address is available through that account, so I think I sent that suggestion directly to her. Thanks!

Omg where did you find her email address? I need to know, I can’t find it on here.

Fiddle around in the app, you'll find it. If I can, you can!

I wish the Chopin LP had more of the Revolutionary Etude, that's more of their style than the more twinkly sounding piano solo music. It also had some dumb sound effects and her musical note dress, which made it all the more juniorish. They could have classed it up a lot more if they had a team that ever looked out for them.

It will be great if they skate their SP to Revolutionary Etude in the coming years.

Finally, after a lot of struggle and a lot of help from Spun Silver, I was able to send a message to Zhenya. I included some recommendations for music. Some of us need to send a list to Vladimir also.

I think you can use direct message on Instagram. I’m not sure if he reads them, but it doesn’t hurt to try!

T/M has a new (third!) gala program this year. They are participating in Averbukh's 15 Years of Success tour, they're skating to Why Don't You Do Right and S.O.S. d'un terrien en detresse (Weaver/Poje FD music). I hate the shriekiness of the song, but I like the pacing of the music. If they had an instrumental version of this, or something similar, it could be a good competitive program for them.

Thanks for posting that. I'm totally up for their making that their LP. It's so emotional and makes them look like they have real chemistry. Plus those lifts. It's too bad that so many of the choreographic touches wouldn't be allowed but hopefully they could come up with some new ones. Really beautiful. I don't mind the shrieky version either. It was fun trying to guess how many singers there were. I think just one? I may have seen the singer on YT.

I was thinking the other day that Color of the Night by Lauren Christy may suit their style. It is slightly less than 4 minutes though.

Omg I love that music so much. Please, make this a competitive program. It’s to die for.

For a LP, I could see them skate to “The End of the Affair” film score. https://youtu.be/ydIVXPWX2no

Some other film scores I think would suit them for either a SP or LP include:
Perfect Sense by Max Richter https://youtu.be/2tP8mB8mUc8

Far from Heaven by Elmer Bernstein
https://youtu.be/_FMUk2TLWY8
The Age of Innocence by Elmer Bernstein
https://youtu.be/ZZVb68xVjvA
Silk by Esprit Orchestra
https://youtu.be/6VegYa9JzLU

With SP music, I have had this new Norah Jones song “It was You” on replay and could seem them skate to this jazzy-blues song. https://youtu.be/6Y96XTJHY08

Maybe something like Jane Siberry’s “It Can’t Rain All the Time” from the movie “The Crow.” https://youtu.be/93LGdOKSvMU

Jeff Buckley’s “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” I think could work for them too. https://youtu.be/hXe1jpHPnUs

They could even try something like songs from the album Orpheé like Flight from the City” from Johann Jóhannsson https://youtu.be/AlftMNmDH00 which is take on the story Orpheus and Eurydice.

Yo-Yo Ma has this great album of covers of Ennio Morricone film scores and I think his version of “Once Upon a Time in America”
could work for them.

“We will go to Marina Zueva to train in America,” Tarasova said by phone. “Nina Mikhailovna will come to us. She will not be able to stay there constantly, she has work here, she will come and help from time to time.

"We will start work in America after the holidays, from the end of May and the beginning of June," the figure skater added.
