Survivor v32 - Brains, Brawn, Beauty v2

All they had to do was listen to Tai once in awhile and they couldn't even do that. I don't watch regularly but if tribal councils are often like this then I think it is worth watching. The two that have not made any waves at all: Joe and Michelle? not sure if that is her name. Aubrey, Cydney, Tai, Julia and Jason have all done enough to cause some concern or some mistrust but also, at times, played well. Do you reward the "players" or do you reward the quieter participants? My opinion is that you can play "quiet" too.

When Aubrey had the panic attack when she first arrived I thought she might exit early at her own request. I am very impressed with her. She didn't bombard Tai. She simply gave him an opening. Well done.

And the chicken still lives...

Yes yes yes yes yes!!!!! I think that was one of the best votes ever! I was screaming at the TV the whole time 'he's not gonna do it he's not gonna do it', and when he didn't I screamed and pumped my fists and scared my poor kitty. The look on Scott's and Jason's smug faces as they sat there just waiting to play that Super Idol and then Tai said no .... absolutely beautiful! And it didn't even hit me that now Jason does not have an Idol until Scott's exit speech! Even more priceless!! The only thing that would make it even more beautiful is voting out Jason next week! No matter who ends up in the Final 3, you just know that Jason and Scott will be bitter votes regardless, so I hope Julia does not make it to the Final 3 either because they will vote for her just because she sided with them. So I hope the next votes go Jason, Julia ... .then I don't care! I'm just so satisfied that Scott is out! :cheer2:

That was so awesome!!! Not only did Scot get booted, so did Jason's Immunity Idol. ha ha ha
Good for Tai. Jason and Scot got so cocky - the dumbest thing to do in Survivor.
Aubry is looking good - getting a winner's edit? But also Julia or Tai?
I do like how Aubrey talked to Tai - smart! So opposite of the bossy guys.
I am so glad Tai figured it all out!!!! I would not trust Julia.
I hope Jason is the next one to go, or Joe - he is so useless. Jason has been neutralized in a way, and would be a goat to bring to the end as no one would vote for him. I do not think he could get any allies now for a new alliance.
And Joe - does he talk to anyone other than Aubrey?

Well, Julia might have had discussions about siding with Scot and Jason, but she actually voted against Tai. That said, she and Jason seem to be back on the same page next week, so that doesn't seem to have bothered him, although he doesn't really have many options for allies at this point, so he kind of has to take who he can get.

I can see Jason and Scot voting for Aubry if she makes it to the end, and out of respect rather than out of bitterness. They were genuinely complimentary toward her tonight, which they didn't have to be, given that they thought they were in the driver's seat. I also think Nick could vote for Aubry, as I'm reminded of the clip in Neil's evacuation episode where Nick said that he'd rather hang out with her than any of the other girls there but had to vote her out because she was a strategic threat.

That was way more satisfying than Nick's elimination. The pause after the finale votes were read...Probst waiting...Scot waiting....Jason waiting...everyone else  and Tai looking everywhere but at Scot or Jason :shuffle:. Priceless. #wow

I thought Scot had handed the HII back to Jason when he shook his hand - not sure if that's allowed? Anyway, the fact that Jason's idol is gone is just super delicious on top of everything else.

Aubry :kickass: Tai :respec:

One of my favourite Survivor moments ever. How many times have we seen Tai sit with Scot and Jason...and be ignored...left to feel powerless. And tonight, Scot got to see what it was like to be treated that way. :respec:

Wonder what destruction Jason will put the camp through next week...

I was very sad that Aubrey was going to go home on my birthday. That Tai, who I loved at the beginning and started to not like, took control of things, and showed Scot the door, made me very happy. WHEE!

Watched the weigh-in during his Ponderosa episode: 27 days? 46 pounds. I'm not sure the show can ever adequately capture how it feels to be that hungry. My hope is that they grow used to it after awhile.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)

Best. Tribal. Ever. There has never been an exit this satisfying. And we seriously had no clue how it was going to go down!

I think (I don't know obviously) that what pushed Tai over the edge was seeing the two votes for him. The non-Scott votes were tied. Giving Scott the idol at that point would have meant that Tai would likely have been voted out. If he'd had one vote or none, he might have chosen otherwise. Could they really have been so clever as to realise this and that was why Michelle voted for Tai?

There are a lot of thoughts that Tai's mind was made up when Jason gave Scot his idol before TC. I actually think this makes sense, given that J&S thought that Tai was very much with them, but maybe after last TC, where Jason gave Tai the 2nd idol, it felt like a demotion (esp on top of other things that happened in the intervening days).

In Scot's Ponderosa video, he didn't know Tai had voted for him. He thought that there would have been 3 votes Cydney/1 Tai (so Scot also didn't realize that Julia had voted for Tai - he must have thought she was one of the votes against him). Anyway, because Tai did vote for Scot, his mind was clearly made up prior to voting.

Voted for Scot: Joe, Aubrey, Cydney, Tai
Voted for Tai: Michelle, Julia
Voted for Aubrey: Jason, Scot

I think it's Aubry's game to lose at this point. She's been the focus of the strategy for the better part of the merge. Cydney also has arguments in her favor, IMO. Tai does as well. Julia's only bet I think would be to get to the end with Jason and Joe at this point. She's had too many of the women questioning her double agent status to get their votes, I'd imagine. Joe is not going to win but could be sitting in the F2/F3 -- I have to give him credit for hanging in the game and challenges as well as he has. He's the 2nd oldest person to ever play the game, behind Rudy.

You would have thought Scot would have figured it out once there were only 2 votes for Aubrey. Those were obviously his and Jason's. So that meant that since Tai couldn't vote for himself, he had to have voted for Scot.

She would be my pick had I a vote. And she had the admiration of her camp enemies. If trouble is in her future at tribal it will be because of that strength. Jason and Julia are weak now. If someone comes at her I think it would be within her "group." I don't know.

I can't wait for the night when the million is awarded. I don't watch the show regularly but I suspect if Jason and Scot are the worst that have ever played then they might be invited back along with the most loved and admired in the camp....like Tai and Aubrey. For me, I'd like to see the two guys that were pulled from the game for medical emergencies.

It still kills me that they voted Debbie out. She was entertaining.

I think the "Worst Player Ever" prize has to go to Brandon Hantz, a guy his own tribe chose to vote out verbally at an immunity challenge. They didn't even want him in the camp for the few hours before the tribal council. It was creepy af when he was talking about a female in his tribe wearing stuff and acting in a way that apparently enticed him, and he was a "married man" and couldn't have that. That's some serial killer logic right there.

To even further that point: if Tai did give his idol up to Scot, there would have been a 2-2 tie between Tai and Aubry, and Tai would have gone home on the re-vote. Scot was sure asking for a lot for Tai to give up his idol AND his game to save himself! Then again, this is Scot and I doubt he thought about any of this during Tribal Council, including that Tai didn't vote with him and Jason.

 Wow. Well I'm sure they won't be asking him to return. That's messed up.

Yes, it was on his second time playing that his tribe forfeited even doing the immunity challenge and instead voted him out right then.

Ugh, the brief but endless and ugly reign of the Hantzes on Survivor. I think Russell was worse than Scott and Jason, too.

I agree. Scot and Jason had humanizing moments when talking about their families and while I would not personally want to hang out with Jason ever (Scot is up for debate), I don't think that either of them are totally irredeemable as people. Russell, OTOH...I can't think of anything redeeming about him. And this is probably an armchair psychoanalysis of Brandon so take it with a grain of salt, but I would not be surprised if he had legitimate mental health issues and I'm surprised he passed the psych exam to be on the show. I somehow forgot all about his tribe forfeiting the immunity challenge and getting rid of him immediately.
