Stars on Ice Spring 2026 Tour - U.S. and Canada

I'm glad SOI is giving up-and-comers the chance to skate on the tour, even if only one show. I hope Max and Alisa/Misha get added to the Boston show. It's kind of odd that every other Oly team member will be part of the tour and not Max. Maybe he's not able to do a lot of shows due to coaching obligations, but I hope he'll be able to do the show in his hometown.

Yes, I would have expected for him to be added to at least Boston and Providence.

They finally updated the dates for Chan/Howe and Torgashev - it looks like all three are doing the entire tour, which is great for them.

That would be my guess.

Interestingly, the SOI website still doesn't list which shows/dates either Torgashev or Chan/Howe will be appearing and I know Chan/Howe are booked for a different show (somewhere in New England) on the same date as one of the SOI shows, so they're obviously not doing the full tour.
I asked SOI on Instagram if Chan and Howe would be doing all the shows and they said yes.

I posted a set list for the Japan SOI in "2026 Ice Shows in Japan" thread, which might give you an idea of what their programs might be in the US and Canada, if you don't mind a spoiler.

Will be disappointed if G/P do the Super Model program at SOI in Canada instead of Vincent. Would seem like an incredibly large missed opportunity if so. I know they did do a modified Vincent at SOI in 2019, but it’s been 7 years, I think it’s fine to do it again. If we’re in an era of giving casual fans what they want I don’t think it’s the rhythm dance that most people remember from the Olympics.

And selfishly, I want to see that dress sparkling under lights in person :drama:

I'm guessing that they will be doing two programs in Canada. The cast is smaller for that show and is limited to Canadians.

Jason and Isabeau narrated a vid about SOI in Osaka. Jason frequently does these during the SOI tour. Maybe the two of them will make this a regular thing throughout the tour?

Here's the Osaka vid:

ETA: Madison Chock has been posting a lot of SOI behind the scenes photos of a bunch of skaters on her individual Instagram account. If I recall, she posted there a lot during last year's SOI tour.

Oh I’m sure they will do two programs. But their new one to Royals will almost certainly be one of them. The other will probably be one of their competitive pieces. This has been their pattern for the last 5 years now.

Just got my tickets for the SOI show in Hamilton!! My work trip got moved out freeing up my schedule.

My Mom shocked me and asked about seeing live skating with me which she hasn’t ever done before, so I had to take her up on the offer as an early Mother’s Day present! Mother son date :)

On Wednesday, there was a group rehearsal for non-Japanese skaters, which was open to the public for a fee. According to my friend, the music for the group numbers they practiced were as follows:

(Spoiler alert!) I know they may not use the same music, but still.

'I Just Might' by Bruno Mars (perhaps the men's group number).

'Golden' by Hunter/X (perhaps the women's group number).

'Too Darn Hot' by Cole Porter (all cast group number).

There are some videos of this floating around on Instagram. It looked like they were working on choreography for group numbers. I don't know if this is for the Tokyo shows, the North American tours, or both.

Amber has posted some in her IG Stories:

Here are some more:

Chan/Howe are no longer listed on the SOI page:
I wondered what was happening with them since they hadn't appeared in any of the videos from the practices yesterday or today. It must be something very recent and unexpected since Emily just reposted on her IG the Simsbury show appearance on May 2nd yesterday.

Surprised they’re doing the entire tour with the pressure on them with the golden waltz, but I’m sure they’re going to have a great time. Sounds exhausting though.
They were already doing a big chunk of the tour, so I don't think it really makes that much a difference. Plus the extra money is probably a bonus lol.

It's unfortunate that Chan/Howe are no longer on the tour. I wonder if they had considered Efimova/Mitrofanov. It's a shame that there's only 1 pairs team on the tour -- even if pairs is our weakest discipline in the US.I

I wonder if Spencer couldn't get approval from the Army.

Missed opportunity to get Efimova/Mitrofanov, I think. They are 2x US champions and 4cc champions! It sounds like Emily & Spencer's withdrawal was last minute, so they didn't have the time to recruit more cast. Also disappointed that Max Naumov isn't in at least the Boston show. But I heard SOI North America doesn't pay remotely as well as ice shows in Asia or Europe, so he may have decided to stick with coaching.

I was shocked that Efimova & Mitrofanov were not included in Stars on Ice.

I wonder if this means anything about Efimova & Mitrafanov and Chan & Howe continuing to compete? Although why not make some money on the show circuit even if you were planning to retire?

Not that we are aware. Both teams have said they plan on competing at least next season.
