Hi all, promised a friend I would post about this app for him and get some feedback. It's free to download on android and Apple Store.

If you could give some constructive feedback, that would be great! Plus what you'd like to see more of on the app/what you like or don't like etc.

Many thanks!

Cool. If available in Canada I'll check it out. As a marketer and app developer (not the tech side but business side) can you answer a few questions to set the stage for what you're trying to achieve?

1. Who is the app for? Casual skating fan, serious skating fan, any other demographic info on the profile of person you are targeting?
2. Why was the app created? For what opportunity or to solve what problem? Or said another way, why did you see the need to create the app?
3. Considering the problem/opportunity in #2, what features or user design elements have you built in to make your app the go-to platform?

These are fundamental questions but really help frame any feedback, which I would deliver in the context of your answers to those questions. Optimizes the chances of feedback being helpful to you....

Cool?

Yeas we are open in Canada, we are open in any country that have ice rinks.
1. App was created for every one. For fans we have news part. For serious skaters we have serious coaches. And in next two weeks will be update and we gonna add master classes part of top skaters and top coaches of the world.
2. Well, im profetional ice skater, and i have this idea for long time. I create many things in wy life, this is one of them. I was made to avoid qestions. For example, in Russia we have many ice rinks all around the country, but not that many good coaches. So we made it to be sure, that you will have answer from the best specialists.
3. This is the qestion more to my tech crew=) Im far from that=))

I typed in "inskate" and "In Skate" into Google Play in Canada and nothing came up. Closest thing was "Figure Skating Coaches" app.

I'll give you general advice that I give to everyone I encounter who is trying to be successful with apps.

As you probably know, creating an app that's popular is very very difficult. 7-8 years ago people had more curiosity about apps so most had 30-50 apps on their phone that they used even a little. That number has reduced greatly because the excitement over apps has worn off and an app needs to be amazing for people to install it and use it. Now, people only have 15-20 apps on their phone on average, according to ComScore statistics.

Many people that I meet approach apps (and web sites and other businesses) the wrong way. They build something they like or think is interesting and then say "Ok now how do I get people to use this...?" and they go off trying to 'market' it. That could be a very long road that might not get you anywhere. If it does, it may take a few years of time/effort/money to convince people to try it and keep using it.

The thought process should be "people have X problem....or need to do Y task. And all the solutions/apps/websites/tools out there are not that great. My app is going to do this for them way better/easier so they will want to use it" Focus on this kind of thinking -- to serve a clear need for your user and do it better than anyone. You will end up having to do less marketing because people will open the app, think it's amazing, and tell people about it without you doing all the work.

This goes back to my 'features and benefits' question. Zero in on how you are serving your users in a unique and better way. This is your advantage.

The saying is, if you have no idea where your users are coming from and how they heard about you, you're on to something. That's where you're trying to get with your app.

Happy to answer any specific questions here or through DM if you want more specific thoughts.

Good luck!

I also could not see it, and I am in Australia. Before I download it, can I ask if there would be a point in my doing so? It does sound like this could be a highly localised app and perhaps rather particular to "big" skating countries.

I'm in the UK and I found it on iPhone!

But you should correct the spelling and grammar mistakes in the forms and news sections and I personally cannot see any UK-based coaches on there  I may be doing something wrong

At the moment we are not big yeat, we are work only with people we trust in skating technic, so we didnt acept coaches that we didnt check. So it will take time to pick the coaches all around the world. About grammar mistakes. Girl that work on news part, she is Russian. We are looking for English figure skating fan that may be interesting to do this part. Pls, let me know where is the mistakes in forms.
Thank you very much.
