As with the other disciplines, although there's officially a certain number of Olympic entries available (i.e. 4 for Ice Dance), those "next in line" after the top 4 here could be important if any of the Worlds-won entries are not able to put forward a team/skater.

I too am staying up until I can no longer (which this is grocery ordering night and I hate doing it so i procrastinate until like 3 am so i may be here for a while)

I'm wide awake with this on the TV and the Big Brother live feeds on the laptop waiting for tonight's endurance HOH comp to get underway (probably won't happen until after the West Coast broadcast finishes up in 45 min), so I'll be multi-tasking, but sooooo excited to have Mark & Ted commentating for this event! I'm loving that they're giving the skaters close to the same experience that they rolled out at the GPF last year with the individual entrances, etc.

Of course, Chinese fans fail to show up and the arena is nearly empty. Hopefully the weekend sees better attendance.

I hope I can make my way through the whole event but I need my beauty sleep at my advanced age. :lol: I will probably remember all of these songs from when they first came out in the 90s...

West coaster here - Iโ€™ll make it through the RD but the rest will have to wait for replays

Shira Ichilov/Mikhail Nosoviskiy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ
Coach: Galit Chait Moracci
Music: Maria, La Copa de la Vida by R. Martin

Sequential Twizzles W:4 M:4
Midline Step Sequence W:2 M:1
Rotational Lift 4
Pattern Dance Type Step Sequence 1

Choreo Rhythm Sequence

This is where the 90's requirements fall apart - this is a latin program, and as a latin program it's fine, but there's nothing 90's about this program other than that's when the music was released. High energy performance, and a solid skate for a brand new team.

62.55 = 1st Place

Lots of face, lots of hair swinging.

On the other hand, top couples who travel the same amount of ice on the twizzles will get 2 more in GOE.

The first RD is pretty much what we're going to see from most teams - finger pointing, alot of sbs skating with vibes and face, and a rotational lift + choreo steps to end.

Though, with that, I did enjoy Ichilov & Nosovitskiy.
