Skate America 2024 Rhythm Dance - Howdy, Par(ty)ner

Hmmm.... so much to love about F/G's program, but also, like, a lot of

I think the program should have started with Superstition (and better edits pls) and then just gone into Le Freak. There was a middle section where it just seemed like so much posturing and nothing actually happening. But the ending was great! They always give it everything performance-wise.

 how many seasons do Cho/Bat change their programs throughout the season?

ALL OF THEM.
Now, that's not fair - they didn't change their programs/concepts last season. But, they really got some terrible feedback at Champs Camp if they weren't told to ditch this RD or at least reduce the # of edits.

Not ice dancers, but Rachel Lior was 16ish when she got married to Roman Serov. I assume for him to try and get Israeli citizenship.
I remember them too, but I'm sure there was also some US ice dancers that tried this too--unless it's a false memory, I can just about remember Dick Button casting shade and being super snarky. They were so low in the standings I'm not sure they were even televised, but there was a picture on both of them on a park bench or something with her head in his lap. Or it was a long time ago and I could be confusing several different things.

So...that RD was a thing about that. The whole event was definitely on some 60/70s mushrooms.

About time the skaters that came prepared and didn’t fall go into first. Not sure I agree with the rest of the judging but at least first was right.

LOLOL - Ted is trying SOOOO hard to be kind to this terrible RD from ChoBat.

When do they announce the theme for next year? Hate to sound like a broken record (aka c/b music) but is there any chance they’d go with a Latin theme or anything more traditional?

Well, I need to get out of this chair and walk around a bit before the Pairs FS. I'm beginning to feel a bit of what my hubby is suffering from. He has sciatia acting up right now and says it hurts him to sit for long periods and is wondering how he will handle the long skate events at Skate Canada next week. I told him I had the solution: "You give a standing ovation to EVERY single competitor! No matter how they skate, you leap to your feet, clapping enthusiastically while they bow to all 4 sides of the arena and continue clapping (maybe even give them a double thumbs up) until they reach the K/C. That way, you will only be sitting for short periods at a time." BONUS: every TV camera in the arena will find you and you will be on streaming screens all over the world as the most supportive fan at Skate Canada. Might even win "FS fan of the year!" Sounds like a plan to me ....
