I'm going to make the bold statement that this needed more voice overs.

This program is strange.

On brand for these two, some of the most flavorless costumes I've ever seen for a Pirates program.

This is at least a slightly different arrangement of Pirates. But I’ll always take POTC over, say, POTO

Sviachenko is clearly Orlando Bloom and not Johnny Depp in this lol

That was such a hideous FODS

Pavlova/Sviatchenko: Tough fall for her on the 2a, but nice comeback on the throw 3 lutz, SBS 3 sals very far apart. Solid throw 3 loop. Their transitions out of the lifts are rather rough. Choreo sequence rather slow and rough, as is this closing spin.

Meh. Not really their best.

PavSvia - Sober Hungarian Pirates - 3tw - nice; SBS 3t+2a - she falls on the 2a; throw 3z - nice! SBS 3s - he was out of the camera but TES tracker says they were both fine; nice lift; and they're doing a FODS - teams aiming for difficult tech but they only get a L1; good throw 3lo; second lift had a weirdly clunky feel to it; and this last lift looks sort of labored too. Oh, yah, no personality in the throwaway choreo seq and neg GOE for that trash - good; decent pairs combo spin to end. That's gonna drop them in the standings behind EfiMit - deservedly so.

Pavlova and Sviatchenko have made no attempt to improve their PCS. These programs this year feel like they were designed to have the music and theme do the PCS work for them. When in reality, their total lack of chemistry and interpretation makes the music and performance come across as awkward. And they’re skating a bit messier and less clean which won’t help.

I can't believe Ted said you don't need emotion to skate to pirates. I believe Overett and Kurakova would like a word. And a sword.
