At last Euros Matilda was 31st and didn't qualify for FS.
In France she said that this season's international competitions will be taken into account, and she didn't do that well there either (she did quite bad actually, but I didn't check where Anita competed and what her results were). But she had very good performances at Nationals. Pity if she won't have any more competitions this season.

Their international season best score is not that far apart, but skated by Östlund in the first week of october, algotsson in the last week of november.

Östlund's scores got worse and then she got injured.
Algotsson got better and then scored 169,11pts at nationals (even with inflation, good score).

So, chosing Östlund is kinda to me.

Reviving this thread by replying to @SmallFairy's September 2018 post about Norway's Camilla Gjersem:

Camilla is studying law, but is taking a break from school this season to focus entirely on figure skating. She says it's been hard to juggle those too, and she's looking forward to only have one focus. Her main goal is to make it to worlds in Japan. (Source is Camilla herself, she coached my adult group at summer camp, and she's coaching us off ice once a week this fall. Talk about inspiring!)

Camilla wasn't able to get the minimums for 2019 Worlds (she was less than 2 points from the FS minimum and her best short program of the season came after the deadline at the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk, Russia where she was coached by her twin, Anne Line, and scored 28.23 TES, just short of the Worlds SP minimum of 29).

After the National Championships in figure skating in Ulricehamn this weekend, the International Committee has appointed Anita Östlund, Nikolaj Majorov and Illya Solomin to compete for Sweden in the European Championships in Graz January 20-26. Anita and Nikolaj won Sunday's gold medal in the women's and men's classes in the Swedish Championship 2019 and Illya took home the silver.

Pernille Sørensen was named to the Danish national team for the 2019-20 season (July article on the federation website about the revamped "Elite program": https://www.danskate.dk/nyheder/udtagelser-saeson-2019-2020/ ) but has not competed since 2019 Worlds. In her absence, Camilla Grue won the Senior ladies national title.

Daniel Tsion won the Senior men's national title over Nikolaj Mølgaard Pedersen.

The top 2 Junior ladies at Nationals were Maia Sørensen (125.56), who won bronze at Tallinn Trophy in November, and Catharina Victoria Petersen (118.54), who debuted on the JGP this season. Both have the minimum scores for 2020 Junior Worlds and this Oct. 27 article on the federation's website states "... selection will take place after The Nordics on 6-9 February 2020":

I’m very excited for our ice dance team. Norway have never competed with an ice dance team internationally. I hope these two lasts longer than Thea Rabe/Timothy Koleto, who split with Euros really close. They would have been our first dancers ever.So, fingers crossed for Bjørkli/Koszuta
