Samokhvalov's interview with Zagitova

I wish the press and the fans would just give it up regarding whether or not Zag or Med are Bffs. WHO CARES. And most of FSU are tired of the same people making the same sniping remarks in thread after thread. If you are so concerned about two teenagers private life, take it to PM and spare the rest of us.

The subject of their friendship has been one of the high-lights in the press for the last 2-3 years. It is a subject that is continuously brought up, including in this interview, and as part of the interview is subject for discussion. It stopped being "teenagers' private life" when the older teenager started to use it as a "personal positive image" promotional tool, and in addition, later contradicted her own statements with actions.

Zagitova grew up in a competitive environment. I doubt such "games" are new to her.
;)....and then we can use the infamous "emotional maturity differences of 15 vs 18 year old" fact.. Zagitova said herself that she would have been happy with Silver (at the Olys), and when she won Euros over Med, she stood behind and let Med and Caro go ahead of her in the winners' circle... The "power games" are new to her apparently. I hope she learns them quickly. :smokin:

I know what this is!! it's Thumbelina with Queen Tabitha and King..:D

Here is one more for you collection (if you did not see it yet), and it has Nathan (with Alina)..:summer:

You miss the point @Tinami Amori. We don't care about whether or not two teenagers are besties or not. If the tabloids want to focus on that, fine. If all of three of you who want to debate it, want to continue to do so, fine. Just do it in PM because the rest of us don't care. We care about what they do on the ice.
Not caring if two skaters are besties is reasonable. When only few people continue to argue over the same old, same old issue (on ice or off the ice) it is best to take it to PM, that is correct.

In this particular case the "besties" issues is part of the article's text that has been posted. It is reasonable to expect that any part of the posted text will be discussed. We have many discussions and even stand-alone topics about "off the ice" skaters' issues, including of those who no longer compete, such as "political statements", "weddings/divorces", "social events". "Besties" issue is not different. But i agree the issue of "besties" is old news, and if not brought up by others, i have no interest in it for now.

At least one of us is not amused when one poster seems to find it necessary to speak for "the rest of us", by the way. Please refrain from doing that.

:D the only "puppy issue" i am not ok with, is Med's doggy Jerry, left behind in Moscow, missing her owner, and yes, i am pissed off because i had a bunch of dog beds, bowls, and toys on order at Pet Smart Toronto, ready for delivery to TCC.... and then she did not take the dog.... :wuzrobbed ...

Back to Zagitova. Japanese TV produced and is running another "Alina story", where she is practicing 3A (and Trusova as well) in the gym setting. Again, am very impressed with Japanese, how they inspire both sides to push each other to be stronger skaters, in a very friendly and healthy manner
