Russian fans are speculating about a coaching change 🤣
Haha...Zhulin needs to be quiet. First he says we discussed this together, then he was confused by the fake news. But they simply say they didn't make these comments.

First he said their was no xyz, then Katsalapov pronounces friends, YES, there was xyz.

LOL.

Now any time i listen to Rach i expect to hear the Irish Jig after and I have to remind myself that its not the real cut. Where would they go? back to Marina, that would be good from a material standpoint?
They were sort of asked to leave the US...I wonder if they could even get a visa.

They're going to go to Eteri to complete her coaching take-over of the entire sport.

This is just a joke I legit do not think this will happen. But also the world is weird haha.

Well they could hang out with their buds; Evgenia, Vladimir and Maxim, trade wedding ideas and such.

Anna Shcherbakova will have a knee surgery in Germany:
Ha! How it comes that Russia sends their skater to be treated to the the evil West? This does not not fit well with their endless (and sophisticated) propaganda machine "we, Russians, are the best" or " West hates us because we are the best"

How's it going to look if Anna's parents and sister join her in Germany for the surgery and just don't return?

I was totally thinking that. Her younger sister must be close to old enough to go to the IB school in Switzerland that the oldest girl attended.

You'd think wouldn't you....A few yrs ago I took some senior language courses & teacher also taught incoming immigrants language classes. Subject came up as to how much schooling did immigrants have to redo to become doctors. It was lots of yrs for Russians and answer to my question of why was Russia is far behind in modern medical technology. They seem to be fine with finding new brilliant ways to murder without trace so I was very surprised.

I think that the propaganda machine knows that there are some things that even the Russian public will not swallow.

Many Russian athletes have received medical treatment abroad. The Man of Titanium himself, Evgeni Plushenko, had several well-publicized medical treatments outside of Russia.

I think part of it is cultural. When I was in Russia (a loooong time ago, 2001) Russian doctors were seen as on a level as teachers since it was also a government-funded job that didn't pay well. If you were wealthy/high-class you could go to a specialist in Europe. Even Putin hasn't seemed to get rid of that notion in the last 20+ years of nationalist propaganda.

They are flying through Istanbul. That is how Mishin's group got to Switzerland and France.
That’s how all Washington, DC-based Russians are flying back to Russia to visit family - via Istanbul ($5,000 r-trip economy during August)…or via either Helsinki or the Emirates (even more expensive). Very few from our church are going back this year. My DH is spending his first full month of August in DC in 15+ yrs. WhatsApp is coming in handy, to see family left behind.

An interview with Aliona Kostornaia:

.... Poor Kostornaia! She of course has to do a surgery on her own in Russia. Ha! no one offers her surgery in Germany...It seems that Aliona has no love in Russia at all. Too injured or too outspoken, or both. Her talent though was so undeniable and unique. Diamond.

If I would be one of those wealthy Russians living outside of Russia and enjoying "evil West" , I would have organized donations or sponsors for Kostornaia to get out of Russia, and a long time ago. I want to be wrong but, really, i cannot see a future for her there, in Russia and not because of a current ban, no. in general-there is no future for her there, in Russia. Or she has has to focus on something else, not figure skating. She was prepared to be buried at the moment she went to Plushenko and was buried at the moment she when back to her abuser.

Kostornaia is not liked because she is a natural talent and outspoken, does what SHE wants. So sad that her useless federation cannot see that, instead they prefer to dope little children of their favouring to bring them the medals.

Sacrificing Kostornaya’s talent to make an example of her is probably deemed a fair trade for ensuring that all other skaters know to obey and keep their mouths shut.

…
It’s also known as Discipline, which encompasses all aspects of human character, not just sport. As a public character, AK may not have made proper personal-life choices in the past…but they became publicly known which is unfortunate. Nobody is perfect but it’s tough for Russian powers-that-be to separate the public and private personnas.

My own favorite in the past season, Trusova, also had her goofy quirks…but goofiness isn’t as big of a public sin as what happened to AK (with older man who was also her coach, etc). Just thinking out loud here. I wish them all well as persons, even if I don’t give a d*** for any of them as skaters this coming season or for however long the conflict lasts.

Who was her coach?
