Apparently Eteri has a new interview out, and in addition to saying that Daria Usacheva is switching ice dance because of her injury, she also has this to say about Maia Khromykh (excerpt from Twitter):

It's at the stage where her coaching regime/practices are literally a threat to these girls' health.

How anyone can defend her at this stage .... :scream::scream:

The complete lack of even a shred of accountability will never cease to be mind-blowing to me. This camp is responsible for the well-being of minors yet every single one of their minor skaters suffers a serious injury and at no point do they think they need to revisit their methods, even more, she's protective of her "methods" as if they are anything more than "stay as thin as you can, delay puberty as long as possible, pre-rotate as much as possible".
Usacheva came to them injured and she and her mom insisted she'll compete, Khromykh gained weight, Samsonov grew too tall, etc etc, it's never on the coaching team, it's always on the skaters. And still, not one skater lasted past 18, and not one retired without horrible injuries (only Zagitova comes to mind and I'm pretty sure she had a back injury in her last few months of competitive skating). Every camp has injured skaters, but only one camp has every single one of their skaters badly injured.
This coaching camp is a huge black mark on the sport, one that the sport will carry for years to come when people will question how no one stepped in and put a stop to it.
Now let's wait for the usual defenders who will come to tell us all how there's nothing wrong with that camp.

Just look at people defending the war on Ukraine and how posing on Insta proudly with them kissing a picture of Putin is because these people are forced and secret underground rebels.

People see what they want to see

They will say that every camp has injuries and list one or two injuries of other skaters. They will say it was an accident. They will say her honesty is refreshing. That every coach is like this. The excuse is the same every time.

The show program competition is on right now and I am already waiting for the offended people to complain about Valieva's shaman program.

Matvei Vetlugin killed it at the show program competition .
He had several costume changes and imitated Zagitova, Tuktamysheva, Plushenko and Yagudin with their respective Don Quixote, Toxic, Sex Bomb and Winter programs. And there were TAT-voiceovers .

Vetlugin was brilliant.
And then Radionova showing pretty much everything that is wrong and bad about figure skating
Organizers: you can use props
Mozalev: cool. Do 7 almost naked women count as a prop
Organizers: sure!

Why are there Chinese flashsigns in the background saying "k宝“??Her Chinese fans are some of the craziest people, they were saying Vincent "deserved" COVID because he made that statement about the doping investigation. Did they somehow make it there to watch whatever this "show" is?

Anyway, it's about what I expected it to be. I don't think they see anything wrong with it.

Host: Volosozhar said you are yet to put a big fat stop to your career
Trankov: think I was that big fat thing on the ice...
