The complete lack of even a shred of accountability will never cease to be mind-blowing to me. This camp is responsible for the well-being of minors yet every single one of their minor skaters suffers a serious injury and at no point do they think they need to revisit their methods, even more, she's protective of her "methods" as if they are anything more than "stay as thin as you can, delay puberty as long as possible, pre-rotate as much as possible".
Usacheva came to them injured and she and her mom insisted she'll compete, Khromykh gained weight, Samsonov grew too tall, etc etc, it's never on the coaching team, it's always on the skaters. And still, not one skater lasted past 18, and not one retired without horrible injuries (only Zagitova comes to mind and I'm pretty sure she had a back injury in her last few months of competitive skating). Every camp has injured skaters, but only one camp has every single one of their skaters badly injured.
This coaching camp is a huge black mark on the sport, one that the sport will carry for years to come when people will question how no one stepped in and put a stop to it.
Now let's wait for the usual defenders who will come to tell us all how there's nothing wrong with that camp.
