RuPauls Drag Race Season 11

Let’s hope for a good season after the last few fizzled out. The last two all-stars seasons have crashed for different reasons and I didn’t really love the final four of season 10.

Rooting for Nina West- I worked with her for many years back when I lived in Ohio. Also rooting for Silky who shares several of my Chicago friends. A few of the other queens look to be really strong as well so fingers crossed for a great field like season 6.

There’s speculation that Adam Rippon and maybe even Mirai Nagasu are guest judges together at one point, which would make sense seeing how they were ‘it’ at the time of recording.

I saw the introduction of the new queens. It's never really helpful. I will wait until after the first episode to pick someone to root for.

Well, THAT was exhausting. Talk about grabbing your 15 minutes! When Silky wasn’t in the bottom with that ill fitting frankendress, all I could see was producers whispering in Ru’s ear. Either we’re going to get the workroom smack down of all herstory, or we’re getting the “Mama Ru is going to help you help yourself” redemption arc. I’m hoping for the former... and soon.

While I would have liked to see more from the queen who went home, it’s clear that she isn’t that experienced in performing live. IME, her look wasn’t the worst, but when she couldn’t even move for the lip synch, she was doomed.

I’m still working on my favorite list. I tend to prefer New York style, so I’m hoping a couple of them start to stand out, but it was f’ing hard given all the screen time given to Silky.

i wish Ru had kept Suja and auffed Kahana. Kathana seriously bugs. Also, that was a sh*tty backhandspring. Sh*tty back handsprings do not deserve to stay, esp. since the song did not call for it. I preferred Suja emoting over Kahana's seizure dance (reminded me of the Vixon.). And as one of the other queens mentioned, at least Suja tried to make an outfit, whereas Kahana wore her own stuff.

Too early to decide quite yet who I like as it is hard to remember who the queens are but I did think Brooklyn did a great job of the challenge. But great to have Vanjie back - very entertaining and her look was great. Silky was really annoying. I think the season looks promising though.

I am already enjoying this season a bit more than All Stars and the last one. I think the challenge was pretty good and there was some enjoyable performances. Most of the runway was excellent. Still getting used to who they are.

Am enjoying Vanjie more and more. Glad they brought her back. I am going to be interested to see Brook Lyn's looks each week too.

I'm enjoying this season quite a lot - I think i'm already enjoying it more than season 10 and allstars.

I'm really liking Evie Oddly but she does manage to shit stir quite a bit in untucked.

This week's episode was very enjoyable. I think all the queens did a good job and it was very funny.

Evie and Brooklyn are turning into front runners for me. Silky still is a pain but she did really look like Oprah.

I like Yvie, but do not like how she stirs the pot. She apologizes afterwards, but I think she could learn to leave the pot alone.

I quite enjoyed this week and Untucked was a lot less dramatic than it has been. The decision to send Ariel home was the right one. Elvira is always good value.

I think the Queens are all pretty strong this season and i'm enjoying it a lot more than I have some of the previous seasons.

The editing still gets on my nerves and shoe-horning the same life stories into the main show and untucked is both lazy and makes the stories seem less genuine too.

Silky didn't annoy as much this week and I wonder if she's getting the redemption edit having been bottom 3 last week.

I am really enjoying this season a lot. Silky isn't annoying me quite as much as she has been. I've agreed with the queens who have gone. I'm really liking A'Keria coming through and starting to look like a front runner.

As much as I love Vanjie, I think she's starting to come unstuck.

Watching this weeks episode and having so much Brooke Lynn Hytes talking heads moments....does anyone else think she bears a resemblance to Jason Brown? Some of his facial expressions and smiles really remind me of Jason.

I agree that it is a good season. The latest challenge had me laughing.

Personally can't see the Jason Brown connection. But I am really loving Brook Lynn.

Silky still annoys the sh*t out of me, regardless of how strongly she is performing. But agree about A'Keria. Her twerking was very funny.

Plastique did have to go but I really liked her. She has a single out and looks stunning in the video clip.

Plastique will be fine- I think she is one of the most popular girls to come out of this season, at least social media following/comments-wise.

Brooke Lynn is my favorite now after the last few episodes. Always an amazing runway look, and now she has the confidence to be funny.

I actually think the final could come down to Yvie and Brooke. You know there is a year in between the end of the filming and the lip sync finale, and if Silky is there in the end, I’m sure Ru has followed her downwards trajectory and that’ll take her out of the running. It seems like the producers really wanted everyone to love her, but it backfired.

Yvie obviously fits that bill, and Brooke Lynn is just strong overall. Akeria is a dark horse -- she just gets stronger and stronger. She doesn't have this big bold personality though.

Shuga has really pleasantly surprised me. She’s done extremely well on a few of the challenges and she, at that point, had only done drag for 9 months I believe. Also she can take away Ru’s comment of having one of her favorite dresses of all-time.

I was working in the same bar as Nina for three years and she is literally the biggest celebrity in town. She’s very creative and almost monthly puts on a production that sells out quickly. But I agree- she’s highly successful doing her own thing, which isn’t the formula that Ru seems to love. There have also been a few instances this year where both Michelle and Ru have kinda had to nudge her with hints about how to improve her aesthetic, and I think that’ll hold her back in the end.

I adore Vanjie and I’m glad she got a second chance, but she’s the perfect candidate to be eliminated right before the Finals. She is very one-note, and as funny as it really is, Michelle has been over it for weeks.

The one thing that I realized about this season is that some of these queens CANNOT walk. Shuga is awkward, Nina is horsey, and Silky is like a 5 year old trying to walk the runway. I LOVE Brooke, but I think that Akeria will take the season.

That's how she was for me to begin with but she's starting to stand out. I always struggle when the they have vastly different hair in the talking heads segments to what they have in the work room - A'keria has purple in one and pink in the other (I forget which way round).

One of the queens in a previous season took me ages to remember who she was because of having massively different hair (and more work done) in the talking heads (maybe Detox?).

Akeria is starting to gain some momentum but she’s still not standing out for me, even with her two wins. I enjoyed her performance this week but still would’ve given it to Brooke probably (whose record so far this season is crazy good).

Since RuPaul bases everything at the end on the final lip syncs now, I’d be watching out most for Brooke and Yvie if they both make it. Maybe we will see a repeat of two weeks ago there.

I don’t agree with the bottom two or the person sent home AT ALL last night. One team was very obviously below the other, and both people in the bottom should’ve been from the weaker team- any combination of the four would’ve sufficed, maybe with Akeria having a slight advantage over the others.

Awful lip sync and Nina’s makeover for Shuga was giving me straight Laganja vibes on the very episode she was eliminated, but I think Nina was still better than Silky. I also have a sneaking suspicion that Ru avoided putting Yvie against Silky in the lip sync because she knew there was no way in hell Silky would get past that.

That said, the last two eliminations have been completely wrong. Team Brooke all the way still.

Another thing- I’m tired of Ru asking the queens things solely for the sake of future workroom conflict and drama, when she herself went off during the reunion last year about just letting things go and ‘love’ this and that. I know it’s all for TV drama, but she’s getting ridiculous.

They’d been setting up Yvie vs Silky all season long and that would have been the perfect time to let it play out. Especially when every single queen called out Yvie or Silky as the worst. I agree with @Tony Wheeler that they knew Yvie was highly likely to knock Silky out and that’s why they did what they did.

I just really liked Nina and hate that she was considered expendable to save Silky.
