I think it will come down to Shangela and Trixie. The preview of next episode looks like the eliminated queens may get some input on who wins and who does not.

I told all of my friends that since Funko released a Trixie vinyl figure (along with Rupaul and Alaska), that she’d probably be the winner, and also got that feeling a few weeks ago based on the editing.

Anyways, I think it’s stupid of Rupaul and co. to announce this change at the very end. The name of the game, if this stays the same, may very well be to just finish in the middle of the pack every week or avoid winning any lipsyncs so that any hopeful winner doesn’t have to be directly responsible for any elimination.

Had Ben stayed, I think Shangela could’ve caught up as co-favorite to win because the last two weeks she was on fire. She was already an easy second IMO, but since Ben left, Shangela was the clear winner here no matter how you look at it.

Anyways, I also thought it was funny how many queens went on about how some people needed this title more than others, yet all of Trixie’s accomplishments post-her season were pointed out.

The biggest winners will be Ben and Shangela for sure.

TBH I think Ben and Shangela came out of this looking a lot better than Trixie - at no fault of Trixie's. By winning such an overproduced, overly-producer-manipulated season in such an overproduced and manipulated way she's an easy target for bitter Shangela fans or fans of the show who hated this season due to all the manufactured twists.

Either way I'm not too worried about Shangela or Trixie's career. Trixie's popular, has her own TV show, and only got more exposure from this season. Shangela was successful despite her poor performance on her first two seasons, and with this amount of exposure (and people feeling bad for her) she's sure to get another career boost for herself.

I'm a bit sad as Shangela really did a great job. She'd make an ideal emcee or host for any show.

I would have like Shangela and Trixie in the top 2 to lipsynch. Shangela was so good throughout. But I am glad Trixie won. If the point of All Stars is to look at success in the drag world and represent drag to those outside of the drag world, then she has succeeded in buckets. Hey we even get the Trixie and Katya show on free to air TV here in Australia.

Congrats to Trixie but what an unsatisfying season. AS2 was far more fan friendly..

Interesting tidbit: Trixie was inspired to continue drag in the late 2000's thanks to her hometown hero...Bebe Zahara Benet. Surprised this topic wasn't visited during the season

I know Shangela is at home kicking herself for not having eliminated Trixie when she had the chance. I'm kind of disgusted that Bendela even had a vote. If she quit, she quit, and that should have been the end of for her. How the hell do you get to quit and still vote on who goes to the final 2? I don't care what anybody says, the producers manipulated the results so that Trixie would win. There no way in the world that the queen who never ever won a lip sync ever has the crown decided on a lip sync challenge? The two queens who were in the bottom more than anybody else made it to the end? Ru needs to go back to picking the winner.....those were some bitter Bettys up there. Shangela was responsible for eliminating most of those girls. The whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. I knew I was going to be pissed off even before I saw it. On that level, the show did not disappoint.

I’m torn because the surprise twist saved it from being just a warmed over retake of s2, but then again, what were they thinking! Kennedy?! Shocking, yes. Good, no.

And at last a moment of redemption for thorgy, the only one who had the guts to vote on how they performed in the season. I know shangela doesn’t need the crown but gurl that was some Nancy Kerrigan/Linda Fratianne level “wuz robbed” shenanigans right there!

Yeah I agree I thought the final was piss poor for having the queens vote for who was in the final lip synch. Kennedy had no business being even in the final 6 let alone the final two, but then she absolutely wiped the floor with Trixie in the final lip synch - it wasn't even close, and still Trixie won. Shangela should have been in the final two and won.

Oh well, onwards to season 10!

There's a video that shows all the eliminated queens picking their two lipsticks for who should be in the F2. (1st choice = 2 points, 2nd choice = 1 point) Shangela got 1 freaking point and that is so messed up. Now I'm curious if people wouldd have chosen Dela to move on if she hadn't quit.

And ITA that Kennedy probably should have won the final lip sync. I was watching that thinking she was middle of the pack the whole season and then was about to win it all with one lip sync. I like Trixie and am glad she won, but the whole thing seemed too manipulated, even for this show.

I completely disagree. Sure Kennedy was pulling out all the stops runnning, jumping, kicking etc and had they each gone separately it would have seemed more equal but different. But together, Kennedy just looked like Trixie’s back up dancer. Center stage in more arresting colors Trixi looked like the star and once she started tearing her wig hair out I knew she’d won.

As shocking as this finale was, it was also almost exactly like the s9 finale: the girl who’d been the front runner all season long didn’t even make the final 2 LS and the edgy queen with the wig play won over the veteran.

I was really really surprised that Thorgy was the ONLY ONE who voted for Shangela. The final two should have been Shangie and Trixie.

Kennedy- I believe the other queens thought she would get the most "bump" from being the winner of All stars. They felt Kennedy would out perform and out lip sync Trixie for an easy win. Yet, I'm sorry Kennedy danced around and some of time didn't even lip sync and the other half of the time you coudn't even see her mouth. It's a lip sync, if I can't see your mouth...ie. Valentina.

Mama Ru had the final decision and she was just as surprised as all of us when Kennedy was named first of the final two. Trixie said afterwards she thought the final two would be Shangela and someone else.

Trixie's final runaway look was OUT OF THIS WORLD. She did a 90 degree turn from the Trixie Mattel "brand" looks.

Aja said she didn't vote for Shangela because they didn't see know how many wins she got. (Which seems like a bs excuse considering that the eliminated queens as a group would be able to cross reference).
Another queen (Chi Chi maybe?) said she didn't vote for Shangela because she hadn't seen all the looks/challenges/lipsyncs Shangela won. That same queen (and maybe one other alongside her) said that for that reason they would've voted for Shangela if they had voted after they'd watched the season.
I've also seen speculation that RPDR had indeed become RuPaul's Best Friend Race and Shangela simply had fewer friends in the cast or was less able to connect with the other cast members. It would make sense with Shangela being the one who openly strategized and talked to other queens about her strategy in eliminations.

I do wonder if Ben had an inkling of what that twist would be - it would explain why she left when she did.
