The estate of Prince has released his original recording of "Nothing Compares 2U" (made famous by Sinead O'Connor) along with video footage.

Just look at those twisting jumps he does here and here. Footwork to make Plushenko jealous...and a headband.

He would have been amazing!

I don't think the point was that he was doing ice skating moves, but that he was a could do jumps and spins without training--so think how good he could have been with that innate ability, his sense of musical interpretation and figure skating training.

The high heels were a bad choice, though.

Prince was a "secret roller-skater". (i know that for a fact, i also roller skate at times).
He used to rent out roller rinks and hold private skating parties (to avoid fans and crowds), where he was jumping, spinning and doing "roller jam". There are no videos (that i could find) but there are fotos, and here is his friend talking about it, how he and his wife, Prince and his ex, and Eddie Murphy and his wife, plus few others, went roller skating and Prince had his own special custom made roller skates with him.

Roller-bounce/boogie/disco in the 70's was different than roller-jam after the mid 90's...
Prince was roller-skating in mid-2000's (as the guy states in the video interview, the party was in 2005/06) and he was doing spins and jumps.
