I checked. It's Clermont. So they should have been invited.
The "club" Marie talked about is "Club des Français Volants" (club of the Flying French) based at Bercy Arena in Paris. Galavieva/Thauron, Laurine Lecavelier and Vanessa James are members of this club. Morgan Ciprès is affiliated to Dammarie les Lys skating club. Maé-B. Meité to Vitry ESV Patinage. Kevin Aymoz to Grenoble Metropole, etc. It's an administrative thing, only Laurine actually trains full time (for now) at the club where she administratively belongs. The "Français Volants" are the organizers of the "Stars de la Glace Gala". The whole French team is usually invited to this kind of show. If P/C are not on the roster it might be because they have other engagements at the same dates. It doesn't mean they have not been invited. It could also be that their participation was still uncertain when the ads were made. The fact their club is Clermont Auvergne has nothing to do with them being or not being on the roster. Just like for the other skaters, it's irrelevant. BTW there is no French tour this year, it has been cancelled.

Oh, thanks for the details. I think it would have been nice for the French public to have the opportunity to see them since they are never in France, and also for them to do a bit of media stuff a few days (Gabriella was recently designated "sportive française la plus populaire"). And why not give some masterclass like they are going to do in Scotland, after all they are models for young French skaters.

Actually Technically Lajoie and Lagha were more consistent Scott was prone to make mistakes like at junior worlds in 2005 , they proved they could skate good latin programs, but Lajoie and Lagha with their warsaw concerto already proved to being great classical skaters which Virtue and Moir did not prove until Mahler.
I know if I said this anywhere else I would get cursed but I personally think L/L are better at this age than V/M were. I have showed them to a few people (some who know a lot about skating and others who don't) and everyone was extremely impressed, many even liking them better than many of the senior teams. I think they have great versatility, power and ice coverage. Once they become a bit more consistent level-wise I think most of the top teams (excluding p/c) should get worried.

Lajoie and Lagha's twizzles also look better than Junior V&M I mean those twizzles at worlds wow the speed and coverage was awesome, Zachary has a more introverted personality than Scott which could be a good this Scott being too intense sometimes was sometimes detrimental especially during the D&W rivalry.

Imho. L&L are very impressive technically, but for me they miss that "it " quality that I saw from V&M even very young. That's something that can definitely be developed though.

Ah, so it's a club event rather than an FFSG event? That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification, it's hard to track these kinds of details without knowing the ins and outs of club membership!

Wow!!!!!!! 88.42 points! :eek::eek::eek::eek:
They were AMAZING! :cheer2::encore::encore::encore:
This time, I thought they looked nervous in the warm up and also before the program, esp. Guillaume. And they seemed very reliefed when they finished. Did you also thought so? Or was it just me, who was so nervous that I saw it in them, too?
Anyway, they owned this RD. Congratulations Gabriella and Guillaume! You´re the best ever!!!!!!!

That was just :encore:

I saw those very deep breaths too, and I was anxious for a second, but at this point I'm more worried they'll mess up at Nationals, where there's no pressure, than Worlds. They've become tough competitors, bless them. So much nicer for us.

Congrats to them! So worth staying up to 3AM! Gabi even wore the black dress just for me!

No it's not just you, I saw that too and was really nervous before they started. But they skated it lights out and it was their best performance this season. I love how their dances keep maturing as the season progresses. Not all couples can say that, but with Gabby and Guillaume it's like the dance melts into their bodies and vice versa...a very special quality.

The only thing I would approach them is that they took out some of the very "sharp" moments the dance had at the start of the season. Again, that's the result of the evolution it took, but I would have preferred it if they had kept some of them, but it's a taste preference!

I can't wait for tomorrow.

Before gushing bits of info:
Time schedule, they are skating last again http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1819/wc2019/time0405.pdf
and Protocols http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1819/wc2019/data0403.pdf

They skated this program finally to its full potential, having rewatched it the first pattern, what an improvement my god. They must have drilled this like crazy since Euros. The best helicopter, every edges very sharp and clearly on the beat, very good. I loved the change on the lift entry, made it more intricate. Well done, I knew they could reach 87 to 88 with it if they nailed everything and they did. Now just keep it together for tomorrow, stay focus.

I actually liked it that they pulled back a little and seemed to have returned to that sublimated melancholy they expressed at IdF. The Euros version I thought was a little "overheated". So many details have been altered or added that not only enhanced my enjoyment of this program but also my respect for their pursuit of perfection. The head and arm movement from Gabi leading up to the curved lift, accentuating the music perfectly; the initial "lying-in-his-arms" position was held longer in the lift; the new Tango flourishes in the mid-line steps, the mini-pause just before going into the final pose, etc.

WOW what a RD from P/C !! I'm just back from vacation in Mexico so I couldn't watch it live and just caught up.
Those ending seconds were so ON POINT, Gabi was so much into it, it gave me shivers haha (the rest of course was also perfection).

Hopefully the jet lag will help me watch the FD live during the night hehehe :p :p

the only change i could do without is the part at the very end before the final pose. i liked it before when she was in that forward leaning position and then he pulled her back into the final pose.

thank you!

"they could come out for the free dance with their skate guards still on and i think they'd still win" :rofl:

Ha! But they did not come out with their skate guards on, they came out and did the extraordinary, again, and made it look easy as breathing, again. I was mesmerised. What an amazing skate that was. You could have heard a pin drop during the 'Duet' section judging by the livestream.

4xtime world champions and one time silver out of only 6 participations !!! That has to be some kind of efficiency records. Euros is even better out of 6 participations, 5 gold medals. They have exceeded our expectations again and again. I trust them to keep on doing it even though it might get harder and harder as they reaching close to perfection especially this year with their RD.

Short but interesting little interview post FD in French You can google translate but if it's not satisfying let me know, I can translate.
Guillaume looked exhausted at the end of the FD, the skaters mentioned the jet lag and the fact the hotel was too far to go back and forth hence resting at the rink. In this little interview, it's clear last year's pressure was incredibly intense for Gaby and Guillaume between the Olys and the more than intense rivalry with the Canadians. It took its toll so they mention taking it slowly on purpose to recharge their batteries hence an FD that is very close to their core strength yet different enough to be a springboard for the next three years.
