The "club" Marie talked about is "Club des Français Volants" (club of the Flying French) based at Bercy Arena in Paris. Galavieva/Thauron, Laurine Lecavelier and Vanessa James are members of this club. Morgan Ciprès is affiliated to Dammarie les Lys skating club. Maé-B. Meité to Vitry ESV Patinage. Kevin Aymoz to Grenoble Metropole, etc. It's an administrative thing, only Laurine actually trains full time (for now) at the club where she administratively belongs. The "Français Volants" are the organizers of the "Stars de la Glace Gala". The whole French team is usually invited to this kind of show. If P/C are not on the roster it might be because they have other engagements at the same dates. It doesn't mean they have not been invited. It could also be that their participation was still uncertain when the ads were made. The fact their club is Clermont Auvergne has nothing to do with them being or not being on the roster. Just like for the other skaters, it's irrelevant. BTW there is no French tour this year, it has been cancelled.I checked. It's Clermont. So they should have been invited.
Oh, thanks for the details. I think it would have been nice for the French public to have the opportunity to see them since they are never in France, and also for them to do a bit of media stuff a few days (Gabriella was recently designated "sportive française la plus populaire"). And why not give some masterclass like they are going to do in Scotland, after all they are models for young French skaters. The "club" Marie talked about is "Club des Français Volants" (club of the Flying French) based at Bercy Arena in Paris. I know if I said this anywhere else I would get cursed but I personally think L/L are better at this age than V/M were. I have showed them to a few people (some who know a lot about skating and others who don't) and everyone was extremely impressed, many even liking them better than many of the senior teams. I think they have great versatility, power and ice coverage. Once they become a bit more consistent level-wise I think most of the top teams (excluding p/c) should get worried.Actually Technically Lajoie and Lagha were more consistent Scott was prone to make mistakes like at junior worlds in 2005 , they proved they could skate good latin programs, but Lajoie and Lagha with their warsaw concerto already proved to being great classical skaters which Virtue and Moir did not prove until Mahler.
Lajoie and Lagha's twizzles also look better than Junior V&M I mean those twizzles at worlds wow the speed and coverage was awesome, Zachary has a more introverted personality than Scott which could be a good this Scott being too intense sometimes was sometimes detrimental especially during the D&W rivalry.I know if I said this anywhere else I would get cursed but I personally think L/L are better at this age than V/M were. Imho. L&L are very impressive technically, but for me they miss that "it " quality that I saw from V&M even very young. That's something that can definitely be developed though.I know if I said this anywhere else I would get cursed but I personally think L/L are better at this age than V/M were. No it's not just you, I saw that too and was really nervous before they started. But they skated it lights out and it was their best performance this season. I love how their dances keep maturing as the season progresses. Not all couples can say that, but with Gabby and Guillaume it's like the dance melts into their bodies and vice versa...a very special quality.Wow!!!!!!! 88.42 points!
They were AMAZING!
This time, I thought they looked nervous in the warm up and also before the program, esp. Guillaume. And they seemed very reliefed when they finished. Did you also thought so? Or was it just me, who was so nervous that I saw it in them, too?
Anyway, they owned this RD. Congratulations Gabriella and Guillaume! You´re the best ever!!!!!!!
nvm.I checked. It's Clermont. So they should have been invited.
You are very agressive. Seems you didn't read my last post. Are you a schoolteacher or something.nvm.

The only thing I would approach them is that they took out some of the very "sharp" moments the dance had at the start of the season. Again, that's the result of the evolution it took, but I would have preferred it if they had kept some of them, but it's a taste preference!
I can't wait for tomorrow.
the only change i could do without is the part at the very end before the final pose. i liked it before when she was in that forward leaning position and then he pulled her back into the final pose.I actually liked it that they pulled back a little and seemed to have returned to that sublimated melancholy they expressed at IdF. The Euros version I thought was a little "overheated". So many details have been altered or added that not only enhanced my enjoyment of this program but also my respect for their pursuit of perfection. The head and arm movement from Gabi leading up to the curved lift, accentuating the music perfectly; the initial "lying-in-his-arms" position was held longer in the lift; the new Tango flourishes in the mid-line steps, the mini-pause just before going into the final pose, etc.
thank you!RD with British Eurosport commentary…

"they could come out for the free dance with their skate guards still on and i think they'd still win"![]()
