I think I agree with him for the most part.

The author is Archie Tse, who won the Junior Pairs title at U.S. Nationals with his sister Ginger in 1984.

Just from looking at the side-by-side pics of the triple twist, Tarasova's form is just impeccible compared to everyone else though Sui gets the bonus for putting her arm over her head (bent-arm Med style).

Aliona has built a reputation based on her individual skills - .ie excellent skating skills, posture, jumps, line, extension flexibility and musicality.

She has, but Bruno has not. He gains from her rep. That's what he meant, if I understood him correctly.

Ugh, Sui/Han don't win and Tarasova/Morozov off the podium. I really wanted a S/H, T/M, D/R podium. This sucks.

wow, I really really like this podium, I am sure that Beijing will be the gold for S/H . S/M totally deserve that gold medal, omg, that was so impressive and emotional, their faces, incredible . And poor Tarasova when she started to cry.

at least, since i won't be following ice dance anymore after v/m retires, i'll have the pairs discipline to look forward to. will continue to follow aliona and bruno (if aliona won't retire), as well as s/h and r/k (the rookie north korean team. such a charming team!)

Probably the angle from the judges panel - different angle, different viewpoint, hence different score.

I hope Savchenko/Massot continue another year or two. And certainly hope they go to the post Olympic Worlds. I know there is almost no chance they go to 2022, but I still want to see more of them. It would be a shame for them to also retire without a European and World title.
