Oly Team Event Podium - Sept/ Oct edition

We have seen just about all skaters and teams compete. Albeit we have not seen some such as Charlene and Marco, Piper and Paul and Maddie and Evan.

As of now, what do you think the result of the Olympic team event will be?

I think it’ll be really close for once and hopefully much more exciting than we’ve seen before even with the terrible points system in the FS. USA and Japan could potentially each have a second place and 2 firsts, in which case the deciding factor could be US pairs being higher than Japan dance. So I voted USA-JPN-ITA.

I also went USA-JPN-ITA. But I also think it will be close, and I can definitely see Japan winning the event and could see Georgia sneaking in for Bronze.

I've played around with multiple different TE scoring/points systems over the years, since we fans do criticize it and pick it apart a lot. I've concluded that the outcomes for the medals wouldn't have changed. Maybe it would be different if the two teams at the top were neck-and-neck, which hasn't really been the case in any of the first three Team Events.

And it also may really matter more with two or three teams legitimately battling for bronze.
