Sonja Hilmer skated to the theme from Rent. She was accompanied by a live choir which did a lovely job. No mention was made of the name of the choir or their relation to skating.

I saw a wichita news story that they had invited a local theater company to perform some songs live for the skaters so I think it's just a cool thing to involve local performers

Yep. They’re kept to a minimum so far at least.

Green/Parsons’ exhibition was one of the most unique we’ve ever had at Nats.

Two members of the local musical group sang "Time of my life" while Williams and Lewer skated to the music. Announcer mentioned the singers were from the Music Theater of Wichita.

I believe this is the first US Nationals Gala that did not include local skaters performing. Also there was no disabled skater on the ice to make me misty eyed as they skated by me.

There was no list that I saw. Going on memory:

All 4 Junior champs, plus Flores/Wang
All Senior Champs except C/B, presumably b/c Madi is still recovering from illness
Elyce, Sarah, Alysa, Sonja
Annika Chao (started the show, skating to Somewhere Over the Rainbow)
Jacob, Max, Camden, Torg
K/O, C/H, M/P
Browns, CPom, Green/P, B/S (Z/K did not skate, it was reported that Vadym was not feeling well this week)

I don’t think there ever was a tile. I checked late Saturday night for it. I think lately they haven’t been putting the full gala on Peacock at all, even after the TV broadcast?

We ran into Michael and Caroline at the airport as we were heading home yesterday morning and we complimented them on their awesome exhibition. They were very appreciative and said that they only came up with the idea while they were in Wichita! It was Caroline's idea and they had no clue how it was all going to go with all the backstage stuff so they're thrilled that everyone loved it. They were super sweet and grateful for the support.

She is so creative! I wish I’d gotten to see them off the ice. I shared a table with Michael at a few FOFS breakfasts over the years and he’s always such a pleasure to chat with. I miss being able to congratulate the skaters at the breakfast. USFS sucks.
