I have been rewatching Big Little Lies nonstop. The piano music used in their finale would make a great short program. Too bad Patrick is retiring. The music is called September Song, by Agnes Obel.

I would like Medvedeva to skate a competitive program to "Hey QT" at some point for two reasons:

First, because I like the song and I would love to see multiple skaters inspired to use PC Music tracks.

Second, because I would love to hear Averbukh's attempt to politically intellectualize the song. (I could attempt to do so, myself, but perhaps another time/never.)

So, I just heard the song, "Million Years Ago" by Adele today. Holy Crap why are skaters not rushing to this song???

I see it so well for Pairs, singles and even for dance.

Emotional, passionate, tells a story and has great nuances.

First I imagined a paired team skating to it, then singles, and I can also see a dance team doing this.

Its a mature song with a theme of Fear of life passing by

I wish someone would grab this song and do it justice, PRONTO!!!!!!

ADDED Later: Ive now listened to it a second time. SO powerful.. Slightly reminds me of "My All" by Mariah. Remember when Oksana did that with a telephone?

I would love to see Papadakis / Cizeron skating to some music by Agalloch. One of the pieces from their previous season LP was ''Haunting Birds'' by Nest that was a cover of the original from ... Agalloch. They're (or maybe were as they unfortunately disbanded last year) one of the most emotionally moving musical acts & evocative ones that I've witnessed. Profound & majestic. Most of their music is metal that I think is too overwhelming for Figure Skating but their folk / neofolk & post-rock pieces have potential for FS.

I highly recommend songs like Birch White, the ending has incredible atmosphere that can be translated by artists like these two. The outro can be unearthy & compliments cathartic experience.

I think Where Shade Once Was - it's possible to intermingle it with the previous piece.

Or ''A Desolation Song'' another acoustic song. Not sure whether the vocals and the lyrics would not create disharmony though. :D There's a ''****ing hope'' line in it. There's even something for those who love weather voiceovers included :D

I can't say ... I have been waiting for an entirely too long time for anyone to use this music as I know this music since 2011 and because it did not cross my mind its use in Figure Skating.

I recommended that for the Shibs some months ago after I watched that pivotal scene set to this piece in Big Little Lies.

I thought the score for Beasts of the Southern Wild, most notably "Once There Was a Hushpuppy", would make a remarkable free dance, especially for a younger/fresh team.
