Mollie Tibbetts Body Found.

It's a shame that the right is still using the same arguments German citizens were using to justify discriminating against Jews and other minorities in the 30s.
That argument, that controlling immigration into the country, and deporting illegal immigrants who are citizens of another country back to their country, is equivalent to "Nazis and Jews", is a) historically incorrect, b) preposterous in logic, c) insult to Holocaust, d) ugly tactic of the Left to distort history, willingly and for their convenience.

Nazis not only rounded up Jews, legitimate citizens of the country and deported them, that's been done for centuries to Jews across the world, and world and the Jews learned to accept it.

Nazis created a system to exterminate Jews completely, as a group of people.

Not only to deport, but to EXTERMINATE.

And not only to deport and exterminate from their own country, but in EVERY COUNTRY they entered.

Nazis' goal was to eliminate Jews from the face of the earth.

The difference is! When today most countries ENFORCE THEIR IMMIGRATION POLICY, the message is:
- either apply legally, so we the citizens can decide if your presence in our country is beneficial to us, and if we find that you are, then you're welcome.

- and if you do not qualify, then please BE VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY in your own country, we certainly wish you luck, and maybe you can try applying later.

You can NOT compare a planned and executed genocide with asking people to either apply for entry legally, or to stay and live in their own country (and be happy and healthy and etc)....

Ist das klar? Verstehen Sie?

Show me where I said that. I'll save you the time because you won't be able to. I said that the argument that you brought up, that lawful citizens are just protecting themselves, is the same argument German citizens used to justify discrimination against Jews and other minorites. Because it is.
But not all German citizens were Nazis and they were even less when it all began. And it all began so long before the Holocaust.

It's part of my and my country's history, I learned about it in school, I have relatives who lost their job because they refused to become a member of the party, who lived through the war, and there's a multi-part documentation about that part of history at least once a month on TV and in the past six months I've seen three. (The most recent one was not even two months ago. It dealt with Hitler's rise to power from before WW1 onwards). Don't tell me I'm distorting history.

The next time before you attack someone for their post, I suggest you read what they say. I did not mention Nazis or the Holocaust because I wasn't talking about the Nazis or the Holocaust. It did not start with the Holocaust. It started with blaming a certain group of people, with making them responsible for something they weren't responsible for, with rallies and radio addresses and propaganda and empty promises, with stoking fears, inciting violence and every-day discrimination by every-day people (refusal to socialize with Jews, refusal to shop in their stores, sell to them, serve them, rent to them, view them as equals etc). It started slowly and it went on for years (and it annoys the hell out of me that so many people either forget that or ignore it. Remembering and understanding how it all began is key so we can recognize when it's about to happen again and keep it from happening ever again.)
