Milano 2026 ticket prices revealed

That is wild, the cost but I guess you get what you pay for? :shuffle:

We only have Cat C tickets and I want another event but I guess I will wait for resale! I was thinking of selling one of our team events to get a different day of the team event.

I only have team events for both sports as seemed like the best value - as on the figure skating team event we get multiple disciplines and in the speed skating its the pursuit finals, short track is multiple events as well. I spent the same amount of $ for 3 days of tickets (hockey, speed skating, figure skating team events) as the price of ONE Cat A level figure skating ticket! Crazy.

I’m such an idiot - I purchased speed skating tickets for when I have already flown home LOL.. I fly back on the 15th and the pursuit finals are on the 17th. Oh well hopefully I can sell them as they are finals so will be good.

Wow, other than the men’s ice hockey gold medal game, figure skating tickets are more expensive than any other event for the whole Olympics. With few exception, far more expensive than virtually any other events.

Since that post I was confirmed as a volunteer for speed skating so have extended my trip to include the full three weeks. Will still be selling my tickets I bought though for figure skating, speed skating and hockey.

Just fyi for fellow Oly attendees, the apartment we reserved last February canceled on us two days ago. Fortunately I found another one on AirBnB but be aware that even a deposit is not a guarantee.

I’d thought about cancelling my two backup AirBnBs because I felt bad about hoarding, but this is the reason why I hesitated. I’m holding onto these until the last possible minute.

When does the resale open? I also want to get rid of some tickets…
December

Ugh. Glad you found a backup. I've seen posts in the Oly planning FB groups from others who had that happen. I booked a hotel as a backup, a little more than Airbnb, but I can cancel up to 2 days ahead of time.

EDIT: Just saw @Debbie S post above.

Is there a resale? I didn't know that was a possibility. I have tickets to a hockey game I'd like to unload. In the initial ticket grab way back when, I got tickets for Speed Skating/Men's Short, Free Dance, Hockey Game, Men's Free. Then we booked our flights and hotel around what we had tickets for.

We really want to do a day/overnight trip to Florence and Pisa and the best timing would be the day of the Hockey Game.

I'm debating whether or not to get Team Event tickets (which means adding a hotel before) or adding Pairs Short/Free (adding a hotel after.

I am going as a volunteer and booked a studio on Booking... I hope this doesn't happen to me (or to anyone, really) because I cannot afford to pay more for a last minute replacement. It's not like volunteers get paid to be there to help out.

I have heard of this happening so often with events on Airbnb.

Hoping that in the resale, we can grab some more tickets

In December there is a resale website where you can re sell or transfer your tickets, I’m also selling mine as I’m volunteering and won’t have time to see those events. Can’t sell before as they are all personalized digital tickets, but apparently this system worked well for Paris.

@4rkidz I hope we can see each other in Milan! ❤️
message me your details, cell etc we can meet up! I'm volunteering a lot of the shifts but will be off some of the days and i'm not far from downtown or Navigli which is super cute area for a nice glass of wine.

Oh thank you! We are staying in Navigli. :)

I know nothing about Milan but it’s ten minutes to the arena and 15 to the center by subway, so our host promises.

I LOVE Navigli area, we stayed there for Worlds in 2018. Little markets and nice bistro places and the canals are there. Super easy to get to the rink on the tram thing and easy to get downtown!! Good choice.

The AirBnB we'd reserved--refundable thankfully and not charging until Feb--had decent reviews , now they are horrible, so we're kinda out a place to stay. FML.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but there are still some hotels available - I just booked one for my mom and sister yesterday!

I found a different AirBnB and she seems lovely, reviews are amazing, so whew!

I could not find a good hotel that was in budget. A lot of them were obscene, like, $4k-10k/week!

The hotels I saw were either super expensive or really sketchy looking. Milan is an expensive city even normally, lots of business plus fashion there.

When we were there for a day in spring 2024, I was wearing basic jeans and shirt and sneakers. In the area around the Duomo I felt like the ragpicker’s child - even New York isn’t so consistently fashionable and well-dressed.

The Paris2024 resale app was great. I both sold and bought tickets from it. No price scalping either as it’s linked to the main/initial sale system.

I’ll be looking to sell my Cat B FD tix and buy a Cat C one (if possible)!
