Takahashi

3a spins out, 3z-3t, nice centering on spins, 3f. He has that short picking technique which doesn’t look very aesthetic, good energy through the steps. Great recovery from small opening mistake

Takahashi is such a cute kid. These skaters are SO young with their sweet "baby faces." Good skate for him too. Guess I should rewind and watch Habin Choi as well.

Wild 3z-3t, fall on 3f (another skater done in by Rippon arms), 2a, negative GOE on sit spin, other spins looked okay

3a nice and clean, 3f, good edge change during combo spin, 3z-3t—I’d review the edge on the lutz, nice speed, not as showy as Zich or Takahashi, but good carriage and flow across the ice

Oh, Anthony, the popped flip (sigh). There's SO much I like about Anthony but the jumps weren't there today for him. Give him a 3axel and a clean skate and I'd be jumping out of my chair. Oh well .... best of luck in the free skate. I'll be cheering him on.

Levandi

His last junior worlds. 3a fall, 3f, 3z-3t, good intensity and expression

I was thinking that perhaps Levandi had the tech goods to lead at this point but ... alas .... the axel mishap.

Yes, but sometimes he's cutting out entirely even before and after the skating. I didn't hear him say a word as Paradis got his scores and Gogitidze took the ice, which is unlike him.
You are right - he's cutting out for me now too. Also I have having trouble updating the results page. It takes forever and often finally appears but the results are well behind the competition.

I must need coffee. Does everyone who has skated get a temporary Q until the max number of skaters qualify for the long?

Supatashvili

2a with jerky landing, 3z-3t better, he’s doing the choreo, but could put more belief into it, 3f with low landing and foot down, negative GOE on spins, too. Needs to add more finish to his elements and presentation

Konstantin looked slow to me but Ted says "good energy" so what do I know? He also looks quite tall. Finished a bit behind the music. I don't think he's a really happy camper right now.

Krouglov gets the Q. Whew! Since his score was the same as the Frenchman, it would’ve been terrible to miss out on qualifying due to a tiebreak.
