So much talk about guns in this thread. So much talk about gun laws as well. So little discussion about such a desperately strong need/desire to have a gun. Until the conversation takes a drastic turn in that direction, I expect many, many more mass shootings to occur.

Yep...I'm afraid you just might be correct. (ACTUALLY...I KNOW YOU ARE) And Congress knows it too. I hope their constituent-targets will give them some real negative 'bullet-points' to consider. Someone had better do it...and SOON!!!

Yes...talk about ENABLERS! This Congress is proving itself to be the most effective facilitators for those other 'Mateens' to come. It's disgusting to realize that they're probably laughing themselves silly about our cowardly Congress. How many of them can be counted among the hordes of gun purchasers in recent weeks...I wonder?

The stunt is refusal to bring the bills up for a vote because they don't want the American people to know they are shills for the NRA. I was watching "Morning Joe" this morning and Joe and Nicole, both devout Republicans, called their party cringe-worthy because they are ignoring bills that 90% (90 fricking percent!!!) of the American people support. It ain't just the Dems.

I am afraid it will be the latter. They will find some excuse for the guns, and blame something like mental health or our weak government (if it's democratic) or some other excuse. IIRC the shooting at the community college in Oregon didn't change the minds of the gun loving people there.
