I just don't want her to get 'the curse'! Kaitlyn Weaver got her citizenship just before 2010 and WeaPo didn't qualify for the Games. Piper Gilles got her citizenship just before Sochi and Gilles/Poirier qualify for the Games.

Hopefully the curse is only for people from the US. Or ice dancers!

Or maybe it's only if the citizenship doesn't come until December. I'm hoping Lubov getting the citizenship earlier will mean she can focus on training and not on worrying about citizenship and avoid the curse.

In any case, they are, IMO, heads and shoulders above Seguin/Bilodeau and MT-M, and will hopefully qualify. Especially since they were the top Canadians at Worlds.

Whoops, I don't know why I thought hers had been last minute like Piper's. Perhaps I was conflating with another Canadian-American going the other direction from a few years earlier (Belbin).

S/B still haven't reached their peak IMO, or fulfilled their promise. MT-M are somewhat 'meh' IMO. DM was MT's best partner in my view, although Lubov is even a better fit for him.

I'd just like to see them deliver some clean performances to the best of their ability.
