Very impressed with Everhardt's SP. I hope she learns to trust her instinct with the choreography and "Let it fly," as she seems to be very focused on each detail.

Sigh, I love Kaori but I was so distracted by utter hatred of her skating dress I found it hard to focus. Like her new hair color, her dress stylist needs a major change.

I won't tempt the skate gods by commenting on Amber other than to say, great skate, hideous music.

Just saw Glenn (on YT at the moment). Everything great; fingers crossed for the Long. A costume note: It was very sophisticated without turning frilly.

Konga - Tron soundtrack - dress is black with silver computer lines on the bodice, halter-choker neck and an open back, and black opera gloves. I feel like I could have slept through her as well but I didn't want to risk missing anyone else in the last two groups.

Kim - looking at her ISU bio for her music - Muse l, Inspiration (High Strung Free Dance soundtrack) by Nathan Lanier - she's wearing a light blue chiffon flowy dress with a draped ruffle off one shoulder and at the top of the bodice - it's mostly an illusion neckline but it looks there's also some silver straps. This is tinkly piano music and this dress tracks with that. Does she WANT e to go back to sleep? Jumps are spotty - stumble out of the first one, next one is fine, then a hand down on another, feels like she's getting stronger through the program but there's a reason why none of us remember her from Lombardia last season - generic pretty skaters are a dime a dozen.

Lara Naki - dark periwinkle blue dress with some cutouts in the same color chiffon, crystal/stoning to give a belt appearance, deep v neck with thin straps - I can't really describe this dress effectively - sleeves are nude but they ombre into the same periwinkle blue on the forearms. Fall on her opening jump because, what else? Oh, she cartwheels out of one of her spins. And she follows that with a fall on her next jumping pass, and her next jumping pass. And this is why Italy may not have all the nice things, like potentially an Oly TE medal.

Aw, shame about that falls! I’d hoped Lara had put them behind her after missing the first jump. Nocturnal Animals is a lovely program choice for her.

Oh, I looked at the wrong bio - it's Niina skating to Dune. This dress is interesting - copper and sage green chiffon and airbrushing on the bodice, nude illusion back and sage green over one shoulder, lots of sparkles. I rather like it - and this is good music for her. Still struggling some to get her jumps back since the broken leg. This could be a really compelling program by season's end.

The ending sequence of Niina’s Dune program is so fierce. Too bad about the wobbles throughout, but it seems like a strong vehicle for her.

The feed conked out on my phone halfway through Petrokina, and I was doing something in the kitchen, so I couldn't get back to my desktop until now. So glad I shelled out good money to Solidsport.

Rinka's skating to Maria de Buenos Aires and thus has a black dress with some red underlay and a halter-style neckline. Falls on the 3a. She came to a near halt on the next jumping pass to get that combo done, then pops the next and the screen is back to black fast flashing so I missed the combo she did. Oh, two-foots a jump landing. Well, the 2a+1eu+3s was nice. She brings nothing to this music, but I'm sure she'll have her shit together enough by the GP to medal and make the GPF and I'll rage about that because she's really only got the 3a to get her anywhere.

Well, I think there are plenty of other Japanese skaters that will warrant a GPF spot over Rinka, and that's not even mentioning the non-Japanese skaters who are rising up and will also be in the mix whom I'd prefer to see in the GPF.

That first combo was classic Anna. Beautiful first jump, came out of it with so much power she probably could have done a second triple easily, flung herself wildly into a pop. Sigh.

Pezzetta - Avatar soundtrack - reason #2 why Italy may or may not potentially have nice things in Milano-Cortina. Seoyoung's rise up the final standings continues, though I'm not sure she can close a 10-pt gap from the SP, even with Anna popping jumps left and right and falling at least once.

That's a really good program for her. And she's improved her non-jump elements a lot. It's just ... those ... jumps.

Don't care for her music, though. Too monotonous. Looks like she's really muscling through some of these jumps.
