She's adorable, and I wish I had had an aunt to make me that dress when I was a tween. However, she looks more mature than Zhang in both photos. (And I was a late bloomer who still was built like a child at my Bat Mitzvah, age 13. In the next two years I gained five inches, about six bra sizes and 25 pounds.)

She is adorable - even now - she's always been a cutie, lol.

I don't think Zhang looks more mature than my younger niece did at that age, also keep in mind that she's an elite figure skater so she's going to probably just not put on weight or mature as quickly as a non-competitive athlete. And, you may believe that younger niece looks more mature than Zhang at 13 but I guarantee you, that is because of the dress silhouette and the type of undergarments being worn.

Even a couple years later, when younger niece was 15, she was still fairly tiny and I was having to work hard to downsize sewing patterns to fit her properly. She didn't really fully mature until after HS and she stopped playing soccer.

Mind you, I'm not entirely unconvinced that the CFSA hasn't forged Zhang's birth certificate, but I'm not willing to fully embrace that theory until we've seen her compete a few more seasons - if she hasn't started to fill out a bit more in another year or two, especially in her facial features, then I'll jump right on board the conspiracy theory train with you.

I just Shazamed that annoying song they play after all the medal ceremonies. The lyrics go, I kid you not, "Down the river, we're drunk and all of our thumbs went up in the air." Good one, ISU.
