In Memoriam

God loves a terrier! :dog:

Rewatched Best in Show last night - I've seen it many times but not in a long time and had forgotten how clever it is beneath its top coat of kitsch and camp. Catherine O'Hara is magnificent of course, and the rest of the cast is also wonderful - Eugene Levy, Jennifer Coolidge, Jane Lynch and Parker Posey anyone?

My Instagram feed is filled as well - so much love and appreciation, so well deserved.

May he rest in peace.
I loved his vocal in the intro of "Eli's Coming"!

James Van Der Beek has died. He was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer at the end of 2024.

No news article yet.

Not sure where to put this: a figure skating coach was shot and killed at a Starbucks drive-through in St. Louis. Her name is Gabrielle "Sam" Linehan. She seemed well loved and the suspect is in custody.

Another article about Robert Duvall.

Circumstances surrounding his death were not immediately made available.

"Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time," his wife shared online. "Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort."

"To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything. His passion for his craft was matched only by his deep love for characters, a great meal, and holding court. For each of his many roles, Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented. " ...
