Ken Dryden died from cancer last night, at the age of 78.

He was first an all star hockey goalkeeper for the Montréal Canadiens, but he was so much more.

He became a lawyer during his active hockey career studying at the best law school in the country at the time, McGill University, he was a writer, a Member of Parliament of Canada, a lecturer.

He was brilliant and calm and the chaotic world we live in, is worse off today for his passing.

Joseph McNeil, member of the Greensboro Four, dies at 83

Joseph McNeil, along with Jibreel Khazan (formerly Ezell Blair Jr.) and the late David Richmond and Franklin McCain, protested racial segregation at a Woolworths diner in Greensboro. Khazan is now the only living member of the four.
