I had never heard of her before, and the obituary is a bit scarce on the specifics of her life, but it is clear that she had friends that loved her dearly.

Well crap. I'm tired of people dying at the moment. He had an incredible career with The Band, with Bob Dylan and his own solo career. He wrote some gorgeous songs. I played his self titled album over and over and over again back in the 80's on vinyl. RIP

Bob hosted all of my favorite Miss Universe shows, in the golden era, including 1970, when the first Puerto Rican won.

Funny how low-budget local TV programs engage an audience. A producer at our local PBS station co-hosted a program called If You Lived Here about the various communities in the DC area. It was real estate fluff but they made it charming and educational. He died of pancreatic cancer this week and I actually got a pang of regret, I liked him and that dumb little show.

Didn’t agree with the guy and thought he was a pawn of sorts but pancreatic cancer is a such a horrible diagnosis. And he didn’t make it to 50. RIP
