In Memoriam

Well crap. I'm tired of people dying at the moment. He had an incredible career with The Band, with Bob Dylan and his own solo career. He wrote some gorgeous songs. I played his self titled album over and over and over again back in the 80's on vinyl. RIP

Here he is on guitar with the great Levon Helm on drums and the rest of The Band playing "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down: https://youtu.be/jREUrbGGrgM

I never saw that video, it was wonderful. Thank you and RIP Robbie.

Jerry Moss, who co-founded A&M Records along with Herb Alpert in 1962.

Bob Barker at 99 years of age.

RIP. He had some memorable moments on the show and on “Happy Gilmore.” He wasn’t without controversy. I will remember his reminder at the end of his show: “Have your pets spayed or neutered.”

I lost all respect and true empathy for him years ago. Too bad he didnt treat women with the same respect he did dogs and cats.

I can acknowledge his family and friends will miss him.

Funny how low-budget local TV programs engage an audience. A producer at our local PBS station co-hosted a program called If You Lived Here about the various communities in the DC area. It was real estate fluff but they made it charming and educational. He died of pancreatic cancer this week and I actually got a pang of regret, I liked him and that dumb little show.
