If this were a normal early April, what would we be talking about?

Worlds would have ended a couple of weeks before, but would there have been other competitions to discuss?

Would it have been too early to speculate about retirements, changes of partners, or possible music choices?

If there'd been any kind of controversial result in Worlds, would we still be debating it?

I miss skating, but I miss talking (and reading) about skating just as much. Would this time of year ordinarily be without skating chatter or would there still be things to hear about and mull over.

Discussing how unfair the results from the last worlds were because the ****** Russians got again greedy with the medals instead of sharing with other federations. ;) (Just joking, I love Russian ladies and pairs).
Speculating about which pairs/dance couples broke up. Who will be skating with whom (newly created pairs).
Changes of coaches.
Guessing about new programs or suggestions of music for the skaters.
Speculating about changes of countries and counting when the skater will be able to compete again.

Many posters will be blaming the ISU for allowing young ladies compete against mature ones (I won’t be among the complainers).

I am not sure this would have been a "normal" season even if Worlds had been held, but here are some things that I think we would have been discussing right now:

  • Elite skaters who worked with Silvia Fontana and John Zimmerman looking for new coaches.
  • The possible end of Vanessa James and Morgan Ciprès's competitive careers.
  • The French Government's response to the election of Nathalie Péchalat as President of the FFSG.
  • The chances that any or all three of the 3A's would make Russia's Olympic Team in 2022.
  • Vincent Zhou's choice between training and pursuing his education.
  • Gracie Gold's next step in her continuing comeback.
  • Which skaters from countries such as Japan and the U.S. would be affected by any changes in number of entries their Federations had from this year's Worlds to next year's.

I know what you are saying. But how in the world do you quantify mature v young.
