If you want it just under your sitting area, a 5x8 would work nicely.

Definitely measure before you order anything. Agents often round up and, as you noted, include other areas within the boundaries of a room.Found it - MLS app wouldn't show because it's pending sale, but my agent's MLS search website had it. LR is 10x16, so I'm thinking an 8x10 rug? That 16' measurement includes a "walk in" area where the front door opens. Unfortunately the 8x10 of the Pier 1 rug I like is double the cost of the 5x8 ... sheesh. Sure I can't get away with 5x8???![]()
Try Kirklands or Home Goods.Any good places where I could check out in person things for over the fireplace?
Thank you, those two stores are probably a mile from my house and I have yet to step foot in them, but I surely will!Try Kirklands or Home Goods.
Personally I'm not a fan of drapery in general, but I would have the panels contrast somewhat from the wall color. Lighter colors make windows look bigger and the room lighter. For something sumptuous, I recommend a heavier fabric. Very lightweight ones tend to look cheaper and less elegant imho.Would like to get some panel type window treatments and I want something nice and elegant. Thinking linen or silk? I want my home to look "sumptuous" and elegant, so I am thinking I will make the wall paint which is a light cocoa with matching panels in the linen or silk. NOt sure if I should go with the tabbed or metal grommets, either. So many decisions.

It changes all day long as the light changes.

It's actually glass. Clear glass mosaic but with varying textures in the glass, ergo the varying reflections and colors.Cool, i really like that. Is it ceramic/porcelain tile or metallic?
