I want to start a thread offering support and encouragement to Gracie Gold. We know that skaters sometimes visit this forum or stay away from it because of what is written. Please write your words of support as if you were messaging her directly because there is a chance she will read this!

I hope you are proud of the career you are stepping away from. You rejuvenated ladies skating in your country and have the distinct honor of being one of the ABSOLUTE best skaters our country has ever had. I am grateful that you always said what was on your mind. You were so genuine and that was a reflection of who you really are. I also hope that you take care of yourself. You do not owe any fan or even any personal friend an explanation for any decision you make. I was so happy to read that you decided to step away to see to it that you are well. I don’t know you but I love that I was alive and around to see your career. There is more to life than skating and you have so much to offer and see. Be well, no matter how long it takes.

Gracie, I hope you can find a way to shut out the pressure and negativity and skate for yourself with this fabulous talent God gave you, that you've worked so hard to develop. I like this Gracie, you are more than skating, it takes strength to admit when we need help and the strength that You have shown can take you far in whatever you decide to pursue from now on.
