I'm glad they don't do parent cam in skating. Coach enthusiasm is one thing. Intruding on an athlete's relative having a private moment, not so much.

They've done that a few times. At Nats this year, they showed the C/B parents after RD and FD, plus they mic'ed them. At the Olys, we usually get parent-cam.

Suni definitely made a big claim for an Olys spot here. If she performs like this at trials, she should be on the team.

I'm rooting for Jade, but I'd also be happy with Skye. If we're just looking at floor and vault, I think Jade is the better bet.

Can't say I agree with that assessment. Do we expect Jordan to make any further upgrades? We know Jade has some upgrades on FX and possibly vault for Trials.

Skye has solidified her spot as #3 AAer along with Shilese and Simone. Sure, something could happen to one of those three in Paris but with Suni and Jade that's a 4th strong score in each event. Jade beat Kayla on UB this weekend too.

This quad is so much more interesting of a selection than Tokyo. That one was less so since Jade took herself out, and the rest were just kind of even skilled AA gymnasts. And Skinner, who was chosen as additional specialist because she was the only one who even really had one besides Jade. So they were like “ummmm…Grace I guess.”

When is second…. Jade outscored Skye on her vault. What are you talking about? And then Jade still has her upgrades to do at trials on floor exercise. I think they are both on the team, however, competing in different disciplines.

I cannot wait to see the Olympic Trials later this month! The women and men's gymnastics team selections are going to be BRUTAL and hearts are gonna be broken (ours along with a bunch of gymnasts) but it's gonna be such a great event!
