Google Hangouts with the 2016 U.S. World team, March 10 & 14-16

My guess is Santa Clara University. It is close to her high school so she can stay under the watchful eye of Rudy and her mother.

There's a lot to be said for being able to train and compete as a high-level figure skater, while going to school and training with top-level coaches in the same region where you grew up! Davis/White were able to accomplish/ successfully manage this similar feat. :) Although Meryl and Charlie took their time with classes, placing their main focus on ice dance training and competing. Therefore, neither Meryl nor Charlie have yet completed their degrees, but I think they are grateful for the taste of normal life that their studies have afforded. And I believe they will eventually get their degrees too.

The Google hangouts are a lot of fun to watch, despite the jerky, disjointed camera and out-of-sync sound. Everyone gave great answers in each session grouping. That Alex Shibutani has such a wonderful, deadpan sense of humor. Both Shibs are so smart and funny. Polina was looking very grown-up and pretty with her lip color and eye makeup. Alexa and Chris are a riot! :p I absolutely love Tarah and Danny -- they make a cool pair. I'm definitely feeling Tarah and her love of dogs and goats, but most especially because she emphasized that she loves all animals. :)

My favorite question responses: What other sport would they like to participate in; what was the best advice they ever received; favorite programs; and what were the best gifts fans threw to the ice (Gracie's Barbie-doll likeness ; Tarah's photos of herself that she couldn't figure out at first where they came from ). Surely, the Shibs have received a stuffed panda or two! I believe many of the skaters donate their stuffed animal gifts to children's charities.
