Glamour Puss thread: Sephora, I wish I could quit you...

They are doing all they can to get the sales up. Last few years we had some online deals, now even actual shops are doing it. But its 20-30% sale. Nothing huge IMO.

I live in Canada and I just went up to the mall by my work (in the downtown core) to go to the Dollar store.

All the stores are prepped, full of staff, big signs advertising Black Friday Sales and how there will be no refunds or exchanges today.

Only one problem.....no shoppers. :shuffle:

All the staff are standing around with the biggest WTF looks on their faces.

Black Friday in Canada.:summer:

Our little hick bookstore in our little hick mall in our little hick town is doing just fine, thank you very much! Stuff is flying off the shelves and we have really good discounts.
And our customer service is excellent. :kickass:

ETA....didn’t realize this was the glamour thread and I guess books don’t count as glamorous.....whoops!

We have Black Friday... in Brazil.
Everything is 50% off the doubled price!

My lone beauty purchase a replacement for my beloved Urban Decay Deslick Spray. It actually keeps my make up intact all day, even in our ridiculously hot humid summer.

I've been using Differin 0,3 for about two months now, and boy did my skin improve! No PMS breakouts, much less oily and some fine lines are going away. It makes my skin very dry after application, so I'm being diligent with Bio Oil and the Neutrogena Hidroboost moisturizer. I'll use Bepanthen on my eyes and lips. This is the cheapest my skincare has ever been! But the amount of sun screen in the process has been huge

My VIB 20% off order has finally arrived, except the lazy UPS guy just dumped all his boxes in the office instead of putting them outside the door.

The office is closed until Monday.

I am out of foundation.

I'm going to have to go to Sephora. This won't end well.

I don’t use powder anymore. I don’t know how that happened but I stopped. I only carry the Charlotte Tilbury compact with me for the mirror.

Books are always glamorous and are welcome!

Hey all, it's been a while since I posted but I've really bought anything in a while.

I will be splurging on some skin care items. Sunday Riley and buying some First Aid Beauty products. I'll post the items I buy this weekend.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Wow, Sephora's Cyber Monday sale was stupid.

So those press on nails? Are still on. I had to replace the thumb and index finger two days ago, and I'll replace my middle finger (heh) tonight. So for $8, I've had them on for, what ten days? I like that there's enough in the pack to fix them. Oh, and if I wouldn't pick at them, they'd probably last longer...

(If you go to their website, they are on sale. I bought...a lot. For $23, I got four different sets. My usual gel manicure is $36 and lasts about two weeks...)

The rest of my order arrived and was left on the stoop overnight by our postal service whose employee is too lazy to ring the doorbell.

Hits:
The Lashstash is updated - 9 mascaras plus a set of Samantha #7 lashes. Not bad for $40.
Bite High Pigment Lip Pencil in bouquet! Marvelous light/medium pink.
The Sephora Smooth Delivery blenders that were in the sale section is actually 3 sets/12 blenders for less than $7.

Misses:
Burberry Blush is a scent, not a blush sample.

Not sure yet:
I selected the wrong brow stuff and got the Sephora Brow Builder instead of the pencil. I may actually like it.

I have concluded that matte effect foundations are not for me. At 30, I no longer have as much of an oily T zone and these mattifying formulas make me look older in person. On photos they look great, but thats not whats nearly as important to me.

Maia Shibutani just did an Instagram story with her favorite makeup - I do t know her skincare at all, was surprised at her drugstore makeup!

Didn’t recognize her liquid eyeliner either, might have to find it, her liner is so impressive.

Any new :glamor: products after the holidays?
My favourite present to receive this year was Mon Paris by YSL from my mum :swoon: Love it.

None for me but I did get a 25 dollar Sephora gift card. :D

Our postal service is so screwed up I won't order anything online anymore.

My Sephora shopping will be cut down drastically. Lol!

My 20% off sale package took 18 days to get to me with multiple delivery errors. Ugh....

The good news is that I love everything I ordered.

The Bite Beauty agave kisses set (lip scrub, lip mask, and balm) is so nice. I will definitely repurchase these items.

Bite Beauty lipstick in Pepper is really pretty and comfortable to wear too.

The Becca Vanilla Quartz highlighter is gorgeous.

It's like Opal but for pale girls.

I notice they are selling it now in full size. I would repurchase a full size when I run out of the mini.

I haven't posted in a while in this thread, but I keep meaning to. Right before Christmas, Ulta had their Beauty Treasures collections half off. Since I was looking for a pretty train case to put my make up in, I went ahead and grabbed the pink one, figuring if the makeup sucked, at least I got a cute case.

So far, I have used the concealers, the eyeshadow primer and three of the eyeshadows and they are all great. So if you go to Ulta and see them, you should grab one.
