Not very likely but anything is possible. There are only 3 international competitions left - Europeans, Olympics and worlds. (I don’t count 4CC because she can’t compete there, and she is unlikely to go to junior worlds). If let’s say one of the top three Russian ladies won Olympics and then decided to enjoy her win and not to compete at worlds, and another from top three Russian ladies got injured, then there would suddenly be Konstantinova and Tsurskaya (plus the remaining lady who competed at Europeans and Olympics) going to worlds. Though I hope that’s not gonna happen, because neither Tsurskaya nor Konstantinova are very consistent yet and I wouldn’t want to see Russia losing their third spot at worlds!
There is still Russian Cup Final on 19-23 February. She should be there.
And, good for her is that she's past puberty, she's got solid technique and will stay competitive for the next 4 years. The Olympics are all about timing and when you are skating your best. You get lucky like Adelina or certainly Medvedeva and hit it at your peak, you might skate away with a medal. You hit it when you're adjusting to a new body like Radionova, and you don't. But, I think Polina will be OK.

Absolutely! She managed to make some waves despite the enormous amount of talent in her own backyard to wade through. I've mentioned this before, but her FS was great! Hopefully, Polina's skating will continue to grow and move ahead on an upward trajectory.

It seemed to me that she has been outgrowing him. Even though he is quite tall, she is very tall for a female pair skater, which made their elements harder. But I thought they were together even off ice, so I never thought they would stop skating together.
