Alisa Drei had gorgeous jumps and lovely edges. She wasn't as perky as say Korpi, but she was a very reliable skater.

Alisa Drei always got my respect for being the only female skater I can think of to skate (as far as I can tell) without makeup. Which takes strength of character, in this sport.

Yes, she does need to lighten the bronzer touch. Her face is a completely different colour than her neck. It's surprising how many girls/women make that error.

Karhunen is hunchy and her jumps looked tiny, but that Swan Lake program had more stuff than almost all other SL programs, and it avoided all of the usual music.

I really like Valitalo’s straightforward skating. I’m glad she got the spot, and it was great to see Drei next to her.

Having programs with more quirky and angular choreography really helped Bradie Tennell bring more expression into her skating back when she was starting her senior career. I wish Schild's choreographers could do that for her, because I think that kind of style would suit her.

Schild’s dress is growing on me.
The speed combined with that music is a lot of “did they think this through?” When you listen to the lyrics as she gets slower and slower.
But I love that Mark is so positive and her choreography throughout is well-done.
