Favorite Female Double Axel's and why ( limit 4)

Midori undoubtedly number one

Sasha Cohen had a strong double axel.

Others:

Liza Tuk
Michelle Kwan
Mirai Nagasu
Gracie Gold

Already mentioned-
Peggy Fleming's spread eagles into 2A, back in spread eagles

This is pretty much everyone I was thinking of with the addition of Oksana Baiul's 2A. :oksana1::sasha1:

It is so unfortunate that this was the jump that lost her the bronze medal at 2010 Worlds.

I don't see the relevance as to this thread which is favorite female double axels and why. Even the great Midori Ito and Mao Asada have fallen on their 'money' jumps and 'easier jumps' as have others, some more costly than others.

Sure. I am not saying it makes her 2axel less good, just that she wasn't able to rely on it when it mattered most. That bronze medal would have changed her whole career.

She was 2.35 out of 4th, which would have earned three spots for the USA. She would have earned the 3rd spot the following year, being 3rd at 2011 Nationals. Czisny was 5th in Moscow, and Nagasu's 4CC score would have placed her 3rd in Moscow, meaning the chance of the US earning three spots in Moscow (had Nagasu been sent) were quite decent. 2012 was the lowest scoring Worlds in forever...and on and on.
