Anyway, my 5 euro cents.
Adam is not 100%, that's pretty clear. He said he feels great, both physically and mentally, but I wouldn't think so from his skating. Obviously it was good, and I think he is a contentender for any kind of medal vs. Malinin and Kagiyama; but lower jumping content aside, there was something a bit awkward about his skating. I think he didn't cover as much ice as I'm used to from him, and it felt a bit unifished at places.
Egadze... Well... he's not my cup of khachapuri, but you can't argue with that skate. It was beautiful. I wish he had more personality, but reserved skaters have a place on the ice too. Still, there are many guys whom I would rather see on the podium before him.
Samoilov

Ok, his jumps were excellent and huge, his program was fun, I absolutely enjoyed him, and yet I don't feel third place reflects the actual performance. Having a Polish guy on the podium was not on my bingo card. I thought he was a bit overscored even before the last two groups, and seeing him ending up so high was surprising.
Italian boys:
Yes, Frangipani is still my favorite.
Memola has no business being so high (pun intended), and every underrotation Grassl got, Nikolaj was spared. Rizzo is such a cute guy, wishing him all the best. Skating to emo ballad was a weird choice, it doesn't suit him at all. He has actual character and charisma, why do this blah type of program. I enjoyed Grassl, but I'm in general not a Grassl hater, and like him on principle. His LP is absolute trash, not going to argue with that.
Los Selevkos blew my mind. Alexander was genuenly looking like a top tier skater, skated clean I'd have him on a comfortable second. Just fantastic skating. Michail is all awkward elbows, but they incorporated it well into the program, so it kind of worked.
Britchgy was fun to watch, if not eactly amazing. I feel like this result is closer to his actual level, but I enjoy him more now than I did when he won his medal.
Vassilijevs looked excellent. There's zero explanation to why he included his "quad" into the SP, that was a self inflicted unnecessary damage. But that was the most enjoyable from him since he was 15.
Other guys I want to mention:
Vinokur, wow, what a cute guy! Great skating, nice jumps, personality - where did that come from? I know he's the national champion, but I never seen him skate before. Kind of better than Gorodnitski already. The Israeli and "Israeli" boys have some good potential (not jinxing).
Loved Nordeback, Witkowski and Appleby. All three have personality and nice technique; I think Witkowski was a victim of an early starting group. Also the Slovenian boy Sedej was surprisingly competent, I don't think his position reflects his actual skating.
Vlasenko, Kulish, Hagara and Reshtenko were all good, I think Hagara got a bit gifted, but I don't mind that a lot.
My least favorite skater of the evening is Shmuratko, sorry 'bout that. I don't like his programs and don't like his skating. All I could think of during his skate was Carolina from Milan.
And Kevin is Kevin.
