I’m also 🤯 that it’s been 30 years. I remember seeing the promo on tv and begging my mom to go take me to see it at the movie theater.

I went to the theater to see that in 1992. I loved it and still do. Just the most amazing skating movie ever even if it was a stretch for the Pamchenko move! And I thought it was so funny that Hough/Ladret (remember them?) played the Russian pair team!

This may belong elsewhere, but it was such a feelgood story I had to post it here (Mods, feel free to move) - and I DEFY you to not laugh about the airport story:

That was great. It is so lovely to read that he still loves to skate after not having skated until he was cast in the movie. That's all kinds of awesome.
